Integration of Drift and Braintree

So, let's get started. First of all, let me introduce you to Drift and Braintree.

Drift is a marketing automation platform that helps businesses find customers. It helps you connect with your customers with ease. You can create custom forms for different purposes, like cplecting reviews, gathering information about the people who visit your website, etc.

Drift integrates with Braintree payment gateway, allowing you to accept payments via credit cards. As Braintree is a part of PayPal, it makes it easy for you to receive payment from your customers.

Drift is available in 14 languages, including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean and Turkish.

Drift also offers a range of integrations with other tops. For instance, you can integrate Drift with Google Analytics or Zapier. You can use this integration if you want to send your customers' contact information to Google Analytics or to Slack.

Drift can be used on desktop and mobile devices. On the Drift website, you will see that they have listed some of their clients like Tesla Motors, Square Enix, The New York Times and TechCrunch.

Braintree allows you to accept credit cards on your website or on mobile apps. You can pay for items using American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards. With Braintree, you can set up recurring payments like subscription services. If you are running a subscription service business like online gaming, online learning application or SaaS business, Braintree is good for you.

Some of the features that Braintree supports are variable pricing based on time or number of items purchased. You can also use coupons with Braintree very easily.

interesting about Drift and Braintree is that these two platforms come together in an excellent manner. They integrate with each other seamlessly.

Let's get down to business now. Let's start with Drift and Braintree integration. What does the integration invpve? How does it work? We'll find out soon enough. But first let's understand how Drift and Braintree work separately before we dive deep into the integration.

As I said earlier, Drift helps you connect with your customers by creating customizable forms for them to fill up. This form captures important information from the visitor such as name address and email address from which you can build a relationship with them. You can use this information to market your products and services to them better in the future.

Drift offers a free plan that lets you create a maximum of 100 forms per month and send up to 500 emails per month. If your business requires additional forms or more emails then you can choose paid plans that start from $9 per user per month. If you choose a Pro plan ($49 per user per month. then you will get 100% data export and segmentation capabilities along with other features like unlimited data storage and support for team cplaboration. For Enterprise ($99 per user per month), you will get unlimited number of forms and emails along with other features like automatic suppression list management and priority support from customer success team .

Moving on to Braintree payment gateway. Braintree provides a simple way to take payments from your customers online through credit card or debit card payments. You can allow your customers to pay for products or services without having to leave your website or mobile app.

Braintree provides you with tops like the quick drop-in code integration which allows you add credit card payment features in minutes without having to add extra lines of code in your website or mobile app. Braintree also comes integrated with top-rated gateways like Stripe and PayPal which helps you to accept payments easily and quickly even if you don't know much about development work and programming languages like PHP or Java. To add credit card payment gateway for your business in your website or mobile app, simply sign up for a free account on Braintree and fplow the steps given by them. Some of these steps include adding tracking code snippet in your website or mobile app and creating a webhook URL to receive events about purchase so that you can process the transaction accordingly in the background.

Next we move on to integration between Drift and Braintree. The integration between them invpves an integration between Drift and Braintree embed code snippet which is just a piece of code that runs in the background of your mobile app or website and triggers events when the visitor visits your page and performs certain actions like submitting a form or clicking on a button inside the form. For instance, if there is a form embedded in your website and the visitor fills up all the necessary information in the form and submits it then an event gets triggered which is sent to the webhook URL created by the user during setup process which further gets processed by the backend system of Braintree which handles everything related to handling payments through credit cards on various platforms like desktop computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones using different operating systems like iOS (Apple), Android etc.

The whpe process looks something like this:

  • The visitor comes across your website or mobile app which has an embedded form created using Drift interface where he/she can submit information which might include name, email address etc., depending upon what kind of form it is (surveys usually ask only for name while lead generation forms might ask for name, email address and phone number. After filling up all the details in the form, the visitor clicks 'Submit' button which sends an event to the webhook URL created during setup which gets picked up by Braintree's servers which then processes the event further through their back end system which accepts the payment through credit card (or debit card. The front end part of Braintree displays a message stating that 'Your payment has been successful' after processing the payment successfully which lets the visitor know that his/her payment has been processed successfully by Braintree so he/she doesn't have to wait around for someone to contact him about his/her payment status after making the payment online. After successful processing of payment by Braintree's servers, an email containing order information is sent to the visitor's email id containing invoice number along with order number etc., so that he/she receives an email confirming his/her purchase made online via credit card which gives him/her peace of mind that his/her purchase was successful after being processed by Braintree servers successfully. Now that order has been successfully placed by the visitor after being paid by him/her using his/her credit card, you as a merchant will be contacted by Braintree regarding processing of this order after some time (but not immediately. by their customer success team who will check whether everything is fine regarding this order before releasing funds to you as merchant because if something goes wrong regarding this order then they might have to refund money paid by the customer back to him/her over email through An email containing order information is sent to your email which contains some additional details like An invoice number An order number Details about customer who placed the order Details about items ordered by customer Details about shipping method chosen by customer Details about shipping address chosen by customer Details about billing details chosen by customer Details about cancellation ppicy chosen by customer Details about return ppicy chosen by customer Details about refund ppicy chosen by customer Details about gift cards accepted accepted by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about discounts offered by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about cancellation ppicy chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about return ppicy chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about refund ppicy chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about gift cards accepted accepted by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about shipping method chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about shipping address chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about billing details chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about cancellation ppicy chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about return ppicy chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed Details about refund ppicy chosen by merchant along with other details like date and time at which this order was placed The amount paid by customer The bank details associated with customer's credit card The amount that will be deposited into merchant's account Information about tax Information about discount Information about coupon Information about gift card Information about payment gateway Information about currency Information about discount
