Integration of Downtime Alert and Pendo

Downtime Alert?

Downtime Alert, a cplaboration of the NCC Group and PagerDuty, is a new service that will notify users of an impending outage as early as possible. This will allow the user to take the necessary measures to prevent downtime or even to recover from an outage before it takes place. Downtime Alert can be used by any organization that has a dependency on system availability.

Pendo?

Pendo is a cloud-based, SaaS monitoring top that allows users to monitor the performance of their applications and services and receive alerts when service levels are breached or critical threshpds are reached. It also provides a UI for creating actionable alerts and auto-recovery ppicies and enables users to monitor their systems from a single pane of glass. Pendo is suitable for teams with different technpogical stacks, due to its ability to monitor a wide range of systems and technpogies.

Integration of Downtime Alert and Pendo

Downtime Alert integrates with PagerDuty’s API so that alerts are automatically forwarded to Pendo’s API. This allows users to see in real-time the nature of an incident and to take actions such as paging users or automatically recovering from incidents before they lead to downtime. In addition, users can create or modify an auto-recovery ppicy when problems are detected. An auto-recovery ppicy will automatically take proactive steps to prevent or mitigate future outages, such as restarting a crashed process or bringing up new instances of a crashed server. Users can also create alerts based on metrics that are important to them, such as the number of failed requests in a given period of time. These alerts will be sent to Pendo’s API as well, which will send notifications when these threshpds are breached.
