Firebase is a mobile and web application development platform developed by Google. Firebase features include. remote configuration, cloud messaging, security, push notifications, database, cloud computing, storage, authentication service, crash reporting, and hosting.
In this project, we will try to integrate DocuSign with Firebase Realtime Database using Ionic Framework. We will use AngularFire2 for the integration and Ionic 4 (which has Angular 7. We will create an app in which we will have two sections or tabs. The first tab will allow us to choose any file from our computer and send it to DocuSign for signing. The second tab will be where we will see the signature applied on the file from the first tab.
When we visit the app’s home page, we will see a button which allows us to select any file from our computer and send it to DocuSign for signing. After choosing the file we will see a list of options on the right side of the screen which are related to DocuSign:
Choose File. This option allows us to choose any file from our computer and send it to DocuSign for signing. Choose Account. This option allows us to choose an account from your DocuSign account in which you want to sign the file. Choose Doc. This option allows us to choose a document from your DocuSign account in which you want to sign the file. Create Document. This option allows us to create a document in your DocuSign account in which you want to sign the file. Sign Now. This option allows us to sign the file immediately without any delay.
After choosing the file, we will see two buttons on the top left side of the screen which are related to Firebase:
Send File. This option sends the file we chose in Step 2 to DocuSign. View Signature. This option will open a new window which will display the signature applied on the file using DocuSign.
After choosing any option from Step 1 and Step 2, we will see a button on the right side of the screen which is related to Firebase:
Save Data To Cloud Storage. When we click this button, it will open a window which will ask us for a name for this current document and also ask us whether we want to add it to any cplection or not. If we choose Yes for adding it to cplection then we will see a list of cplections from our Firebase account in which we want to save our document. If we choose No for adding it to cplection then we will see a list of cplections from our Firebase account in which we want to save our document but we will not be able to view it in any of these cplections later on. After choosing either Yes or No for adding the document to cplection, another window will appear which will ask us for permissions where we can choose which permissions we want for this document like Read/Write or Read Only or None. After choosing all permissions for this document then finally another window will appear which asks us either if we want to remove this document from our Firebase account or if we want to keep it there forever or just for this session or until next time we log in to our Firebase account. If we choose Yes then it will remove it otherwise it will keep it there forever or just till next time that you log in again.
After performing steps 1-7 from above, we can see two buttons on the bottom right side of the screen which are related to Firebase:
View Firebase Data. This option allows us to see all data saved on our Firebase account which includes all documents created by us in Step 6. Delete Firebase Data. This option allows us to delete all data saved on our Firebase account including all documents created by us in Step 6.
After choosing any option from Step 8 then we will get a window which looks like a camera shutter which is used for taking pictures. After taking the picture then we can see a button at the bottom left side of the screen which is related to Firebase that allows us to share this image via social media like Facebook and Twitter or Email etc. After sharing this image then we can see another window on the top right side of the screen which is related to Firebase that updates itself with status about how many people shared/viewed/commented on this image so far.
