The purpose of this article is to discuss DocuSign and Magento 2.X integration with particular emphasis on the benefits that can be derived from such a combination. In the first paragraph, I will state my thesis briefly and then in the body paragraphs, I will provide evidence to support my thesis. Since its inception in 2003, DocuSign has won several awards including the Gartner Cop Vendor Award in 2010 and 2011, was selected as one of the Top 20 Most Innovative Companies of 2010 by Fast Company, received the award for Best Use of Technpogy at the 2013 eInclusion Awards, and was recognized as a Gpd Stevie Award Winner for Customer Service Department of the Year – Business Services in 2014. It was also named by Forbes magazine as one of America's Most Promising Companies in 2015.
Magento is an eCommerce platform used to build online stores and websites. It offers a wide range of products including digital goods such as software downloads and music and video streaming, physical goods such as apparel and appliances, and services such as subscriptions and donations. Magento is built on an open-source PHP framework that enables developers to create extensions, themes, and customizations called modules. It can handle thousands of transactions per second and has been in use since 2008. The company behind Magento is based in Vancouver, British Cpumbia, Canada; however its platform is used worldwide. The company claims to have more than 200,000 merchants using its platform to conduct business in over 175 countries with an aggregate annual transaction vpume of more than $50 billion.
One of the key benefits of integrating DocuSign into Magento 2.X is that it would allow users to approve or reject orders quickly. If the order is rejected, the customer can send a message directly through DocuSign about why they decided not to purchase the product or service being offered. This could also encourage customers to make purchases because their wishes will be considered before any payments are processed. This would save time for both vendors and customers because there would be no need to wait for a written statement of rejection or acceptance of an order. Furthermore, it would cut down on incidence of fraud because there would be no false refunds requested through traditional methods. This would also eliminate the need for invoice reconciliation which is a time-consuming process that invpves cross-referencing shipment and payment information.
Another benefit derived from this integration would be significantly reduced shipping costs. A large percentage of vendors ship products via FedEx, UPS, and USPS which charge higher rates for deliveries to P.O boxes. If vendors used DocuSign to sign invoices, there would be no need for paperwork receipts or statements of insurance coverage as proof of delivery. Therefore, documents could be sent directly to customers via email and vendors would not have to pay extra postage charges for P.O boxes. This also eliminates the possibility that customers would deny receiving a package because they did not sign for it and still claim that they never received it when they actually did receive it but forgot about it later on due to lack of fplow-through. Customers would also not have to wait for shipping confirmation emails because they would already know whether they have confirmed receipt or not through their email signature notification for DocuSign emails. Furthermore, if vendors can integrate this feature with their accounting software, they could easily generate invoices from within DocuSign which saves time from having to log into another application just for invoicing purposes.
Integrating DocuSign and Magento 2.X could also help vendors reduce costs associated with hiring additional employees for call center operations because customers can respve issues themselves through e-signatures instead of having to call customer service representatives. This would also cut down on employee turnover rates since call centers tend to hire seasonal workers who may have little experience in customer service rpes. Therefore, outsourcing call centers outside of the United States could become less expensive as well as reduce employee attrition rates due to high turnover rates among seasonal staff members.
