Integration of DocuSign and Expensify

DocuSign

DocuSign is an online digital signature service that provides e-signature, document signing and management, records management, and digital transaction capabilities for businesses. DocuSign's cloud-based platform lets users electronically sign, send, and track documents, manage electronic records and transactions, and access real-time transaction data from anywhere.

DocuSign is a SaaS (Software as a Service. product that offers cloud-based services that can be used to replace the pen and paper method of signing documents. It allows the user to securely sign documents, forms, and contracts using their PC or smart device in order to complete tasks such as loan applications, purchase orders, invoices, and legal documents.

DocuSign also includes a product called DocuSign Ink that allows users to sign documents with a stylus instead of a mouse or keyboard. This is available as part of the DocuSign Premium plan. It allows users to write directly into PDFs on their tablet or smartphone. It also allows them to make custom signatures.

In addition to its core services mentioned above, DocuSign also provides enterprise-level services for complex deployments and integration with third-party systems. These enterprise-level services include DocuSign for Enterprise and DocuSign for Salesforce.

Expensify

Expensify is a web and mobile app that helps salaried employees and business owners tag receipts, capture expenses, organize receipts, and submit expense reports. Expensify was founded in 2008 by David Barrett and Michael Brems. Expensify came out of beta in 2011. In 2013 they started offering the full suite of features to all customers. Expensify was originally built as a web application, but they have since added native applications for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. They also have an API and have released versions of their applications for the Apple Watch and Pebble Smartwatch. In 2016 they expanded outside of the U.S. to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., and E.U.. The current CEO is Chris Baggott and the company has offices in San Francisco and Boulder Cporado.

Integration of DocuSign and Expensify

Integration between DocuSign and Expensify is possible because both companies offer online cloud services that are based on web apps. Both tops communicate via an API (Application Program Interface), so there are no special devices required for integration from either side of the equation.

The integration between the two companies makes it easy for business owners to use the two tops together in order to streamline the business process. This eliminates the need to sign and submit documents manually by attaching physical copies of documents to emails or uploading them to filesharing sites like Dropbox or Box. This also eliminates the need to wait until you are at your local office supply store to buy expensive binding equipment in order to perform large batches of physical document signing before submitting them for approval. Any business owner can benefit from integrating these two tops into their workflow since it makes it easier to complete common tasks like signing documents and submitting expense reports.
