Integration of Dropbox and DocuSign
DocuSign can be integrated with Dropbox in different ways. First of all, there is one-way integration (see Figure 1. One-way integration means that DocuSign can be used as a sending or receiving application for the other party. For example, a document signed by DocuSign can be put on Dropbox or vice versa. However, this kind of interaction is not flexible since it does not allow users to change their mind once the decision has been made. Secondly, there is two-way integration (see Figure 2. Two-way integration means that both parties are able to interact with each other. It creates a symbiotic relationship between the two parties because if one party changes something, the other party automatically receives the change. This kind of interaction is much more flexible than one-way integration, but it needs to be carefully designed to avoid any issues when the two parties exchange information with each other.
Benefits of Integration
With the help of DocuSign’s cloud-based technpogy, there are many benefits derived from its integration with Dropbox:
Save time and money. This kind of integration allows users to save time and money. For example, if a person wants to send a signed contract to another person via Dropbox, he/she will not need to print out the contract and then send it via mail. Instead, he/she will just need to sign the contract with DocuSign and send it via Dropbox. The person who receives the contract via Dropbox will receive it electronically and will not waste money printing it out. Furthermore, the person who sends the contract via Dropbox will not need to waste time photocopying it or mailing it. Besides saving time and money, this kind of integration also saves money for people who use DocuSign for their work on a daily basis. For example, if someone uses DocuSign for approval process, he/she does not need to buy expensive stamps or paper anymore since all he/she needs to do is sign the document with DocuSign and email it to his/her cpleagues using Dropbox.
Be eco-friendly. This kind of integration reduces the cost of paper usage tremendously (see Figure 3. With the help of this kind of integration, people do not need to print out documents anymore because they can simply add the document directly on Dropbox after signing it with DocuSign . Thus they can easily reduce their carbon footprint by helping to reduce paper consumption significantly.
