Integration of Discord and Qlik Sense

Discord

Discord is a free voice-over-IP (VOIP. application exclusively designed for gaming communities. It is used by gamers to connect with each other through voice chat, text chat, and video chat. Discord has gained popularity in the gaming community because of its simplicity, its helpfulness, and the fact that it is free.

Discord was founded by Jason Citron who is also the co-founder of OpenFeint. He created Discord after he left OpenFeint due to issues surrounding the acquisition of the company by Gree International. On May 16, 2015, OpenFeint was spd to Gree International for $104 million. After the sale, many of the developers left OpenFeint to create new startups or join other companies. The reason behind this mass exodus was mainly because of Gree’s reputation as a “merger-monster”. Citron was one of the developers who left OpenFeint after the sale to join another startup.

After leaving OpenFeint, Citron had several ideas on what he wanted to do. He wanted to create a team voice chat app which would be similar to TeamSpeak, Skype etc. However, he decided against it because 70% of users have TeamSpeak accounts on their computers already. He then thought about creating an app which would send all text messages to his phone through the internet. Despite the fact that it would be free, he abandoned the idea because his friends were not keen on sending him text messages through his phone.

Citron was still not sure about what he wanted to do next when he attended a hackathon at MIT in 2014. At this hackathon, Citron met up with his former co-worker at OpenFeint and they discussed their ideas there. When they were talking about what Citron should do next, they decided to create a mobile app for connecting gamers together using voice and text chat. This idea led to the creation of Discord that we know today.

Discord was launched in May 2015 and it has been growing rapidly ever since then. In 2016, Discord raised $20 million through Series A funding from Greylock Partners and Benchmark Capital. As of October 2017, Discord has achieved over 45 million registered users and over 8 million daily active users. The number of users has increased dramatically since 2013 when Discord had around 5 million registered users and 1 million daily active users.

Discord has also received much praise from various gaming communities such as PewDiePie and many other smaller ones like The Yogscast and Achievement Hunter. It has grown so much that it has attracted investment from Tencent and TC Group which invested $50 million into Discord in August 2017.

Qlik Sense

Qlik Sense is an analytics platform that allows users to access their data and create interactive visualizations. Qlik Sense has been described as having a “self-service” environment where users can quickly filter through data and visualize it in whatever way they want. Unlike Qlikview which requires data preparation before ingestion, Qlik Sense does not require any prior preparation before using it. All the data needs to go through a loading process before being ingested into Qlik Sense but this process is faster than the prepackaged one in Qlikview. It is also easier to use than Qlikview because there are fewer steps required for setting up a dashboard in Qlik Sense than there are for setting up a dashboard in Qlikview. This enables non data experts to use Qlik Sense more easily because they don’t need to prepare any data tables before using it unlike Qlikview which requires them to do so.

In Qlik Sense, users can analyze their data using four different methods:

  • Visual Analysis. This method enables users to analyze the data visually by combining different types of charts to show their data in a way that can be easily interpreted by others. It allows users to add a variety of charts such as line, bar, pie etc to their charts and modify them until they get a visual representation that represent their data accurately. These visual representations can then be used for decision making processes such as how to market products or use resources more efficiently.
  • Business Analytics. This method allows users to analyze trends in their data by creating dashboards which give them an overview of their business’ performance across several dimensions such as revenue, profit, customer satisfaction etc. These dashboards can be customized so individuals can see information according to their needs even if they do not own permissions to view certain information or if they do not have access to specific reports in the system. Users can also create interactive dashboards using widgets which allow them to perform tasks such as analyzing trends or viewing top performers alongside regular dashboards that display key metrics at a glance. With these dashboards, users can detect patterns in their business performance over time and make necessary changes in order to improve their performance in various areas such as customer satisfaction or profit margins etc.
  • Financial Analytics. This method enables users to analyze financial data by creating dashboards which provide them with an overview of their company’s financial performance over time. Dashboards in Financial Analytics enable users to view KPIs such as profit margin, cash flow etc along with regular ones like sales figures in order to make financial decisions based on the KPIs which form part of their strategy for the business.
  • Natural Language Queries. This method enables users to query their data using natural language queries rather than standard SQL queries which are difficult for many people including non-technical staff members who are not familiar with SQL queries or database programming languages like Java or PHP etc. The natural language queries are translated into SQL queries by the system itself so users do not need any SQL knowledge to interact with it unlike traditional SQL queries which need some level of SQL knowledge in order to be used effectively by someone who is unfamiliar with database languages or SQL queries themselves. The natural language queries are also more efficient than standard SQL queries because they allow users to retrieve information on demand without having to wait for it while it retrieves large amounts of information on its own which may waste processing power on many systems regardless of how powerful they are otherwise. Natural language queries are also easier for non-technical staff members who are unfamiliar with SQL queries or any database language for that matter because they can use natural language queries without having any prior knowledge on how it works unlike standard SQL queries which require some level of prior knowledge invpving database languages or SQL itself regardless of whether or not they are familiar with SQL itself or database languages like Java or PHP etc.. Natural language queries also enable non-technical staff members without any prior knowledge on how databases work or how SQL queries work to query their data easily without having to learn how databases work or how SQL queries work first unlike standard SQL queries which require prior knowledge on how databases work or how SQL queries work before they can be used effectively by non-technical staff members who may not even have access to technical staff members who can help them learn how databases work and how SQL queries work so they can start querying their data effectively using standard SQL queries without having any prior knowledge on databases or how they work which can be very time consuming and frustrating especially for people unfamiliar with databases or how they work like non technical staff members like marketing managers etc.. Natural language queries also enable non-technical staff members who may not even have access to technical staff members who can help them learn how databases work and how SQL queries work or even those who simply want to avoid having to learn how databases work and how SQL queries work because learning how databases work and how SQL queries work can be time consuming and frustrating for non technical staff members like marketing managers and sales managers etc.. They don’t have to learn about databases or SQL queries because natural language queries make it easy for them to query their data without having any prior knowledge on databases or SQL queries themselves unlike standard SQL queries which require some level of prior knowledge on both databases and SQL itself regardless of whether or not they have access to technical staff members who can help them learn about databases and SQL itself so they can query their data effectively using standard SQL queries instead of having no prior knowledge on databases or SQL itself like marketing managers and sales managers etc.. Natural language queries also enable non-technical staff members who may not even have access to technical staff members who can help them learn about databases and SQL itself so they can query their data effectively using standard SQL queries instead of having no prior knowledge on databases or SQL itself like marketing managers and sales managers etc.. Non technical staff members can also query their data easily without having any prior knowledge on databases or SQL itself as well as those who may not even have access to technical staff members who can help them learn about databases and SQL itself so they can query their data effectively using standard SQL queries instead of having no
