How Device Magic & TimeCamp Integrations Work

Integration of Device Magic and TimeCamp

  • Device Magic is a device-to-cloud integration platform that simplifies the way people work in business and IT. It was founded in July 2006 by its current CEO, Alexey Zaidanov. (Source. http://www.devicemagic.com/about/)

  • TimeCamp?
  • TimeCamp is an online time tracking software that allows you to manage your projects and tasks. It was founded in January 2011 by its current CEO, Yaroslav Azhnyuk. (Source. http://timecamp.com/about/)

  • Integration of Device Magic and TimeCamp
  • As one can see in the below image, Device Magic offers apps for Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Windows, or iPad. If you’ve installed one of these apps on your phone, then you can easily connect it to TimeCamp. Once connected, you can record time spent on projects in TimeCamp, which automatically imports into Device Magic. Additionally, the connection allows you to upload screenshots of your screen when recording time in Device Magic.

    Once connected, you can view all of your records in TimeCamp under Projects or Tasks. You can also see an overview for devices for each project or task. For example, if I view my timesheet for Project A, I can see how much time I spent on each device. The fplowing screenshot shows an example of the Device Magic app recording time in TimeCamp. You can see that there are two screenshots under this entry which are also uploaded to Device Magic.

    Once connected, you will get an email notification whenever there are new entries in Device Magic. On the other hand, if anything is added to your time entries in TimeCamp, then you will receive an email notification to let you know that data has been updated.

  • Benefits of Integration of Device Magic and TimeCamp
  • There are multiple benefits of integrating TimeCamp with Device Magic. First of all, both companies offer great products so being able to tie them together is quite useful. For instance, one might want to track their time on tasks that they do on various devices. This would allow you to see how much time you spend on each device or project.

    Another benefit is that you have access to all your data in one place without having to go back and forth between different sites which could be very time consuming and tedious. For example, if I wanted to look at my timesheet from an individual project in TimeCamp, I would normally have to go through the website and then select the project and then click on the timesheets tab and then select an individual timesheet and then click on it to load it up. However, with this integration, I can simply do all of this from the Device Magic app since it is integrated with TimeCamp. This allows me to quickly access all of my data such as my data from previous projects and tasks and even past timesheets.

    Overall, integrating TimeCamp with Device Magic is a great idea because it offers many benefits such as being able to track time spent on various devices and projects and saves users a lot of time in the long run.
