Delay By Connect is a software application that can be used in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange to reduce the time required to send and receive email messages. The application reduces the amount of time that each message takes to reach its intended recipient by delaying the sending of messages for a short period of time. The delay in sending messages allows for the creation of a queue, which is maintained by Delay By Connect, when it is configured to do so. Messages are sent in an order that is determined by the Delay By Connect configuration.
Microsoft Exchange is a server-based messaging system. It provides users with an email service by receiving, storing, and delivering email messages to individual users. Exchange is mostly used in larger organizations where many people need to communicate with each other via email. The ability to send and receive email messages stored on the server allows users to access their messages from any computer with Internet access.
Delay By Connect is available in two different versions. The standard version integrates with Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 or later. The advanced version integrates with Microsoft Exchange Server 6.0 or later. Delay By Connect is compatible with Windows 3.x/95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP, Apple Macs running OS 8, and Apple Macs running OS X.
Using Delay By Connect requires that you have Microsoft Exchange Server installed and configured to work with Delay By Connect before installing the software itself. When Delay By Connect is installed and activated, it establishes connections between the servers and checks periodically to ensure that the servers remain connected.
Once Delay By Connect has been installed and configured, it will automatically begin working by monitoring incoming and outgoing messages and then delaying them as needed. These messages are delayed both within the same server and between servers if necessary. Once these messages are delayed, they are sent out in order based on your Delay By Connect configuration settings. Once a message reaches its intended recipient, it will be delivered immediately so that it does not get lost in the queue. If a message cannot be delivered because of a failure at the receiving server, it will be re-delivered until it either succeeds or fails three times.
The integration of Delay By Connect and Microsoft Exchange allows for enhanced contrp over the sending and receiving of email messages. It also simplifies tasks such as scheduling meetings and conferences by ensuring that everyone invpved receives the message at the same time. It also allows users to send email messages to large groups of people without having to worry about whether all recipients will receive their message simultaneously or not at all if one person does not pick up his or her email before the message expires.
