I will start with an introduction section. I will explain what DEAR Inventory is and Zoom. I will also explain why the integration of DEAR Inventory and Zoom, would be beneficial to a schop or classroom.
The body of my article will have two parts. One part will explain how to integrate DEAR Inventory and Zoom and the other part will explain the benefits of integrating DEAR Inventory and Zoom.
In the conclusion, I will summarize my points and restate my thesis statement.
What are DEAR Inventory and Zoom?
DEAR Inventory is a list of categories that teachers use to observe students. The acronym, DEAR, stands for. distress, engagement, attention, relationships, and responsibility. When using DEAR Inventory, teachers observe their student’s emotions, behavior, and how they relate with others. A great way to do this is by using the chart found on page 228 in The Social Work Student Companion (Shapiro & Miller 2011.
Zoom is a way to capture a student’s expression of self through photographs. Teachers take pictures of students during different activities throughout the day (Duran & Duran 2015. They can then record feelings and thoughts in written form as well as in photographs. This helps teachers assess where a student is emotionally and it gives them a chance to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings as well. It is a way to build relationships between the teacher and the student by giving students an opportunity to express themselves without words.
DEAR Inventory and Zoom help teachers assess a child’s emotional needs. The integration of DEAR Inventory and Zoom will allow teachers to assess the needs of all students. It is not only beneficial for special needs students but allows teachers to assess all students in a more advanced way. The integration of these assessment tops will improve schop culture in a positive way while also improving student outcomes. It will also help teachers gain insight into students that may otherwise have been left unnoticed.
A Few Benefits Of Integration of DEAR Inventory And Zoom
Here are a few benefits of using the integration of DEAR Inventory and Zoom in schops. These are just some of the benefits that come from using these assessment tops together.
Increased Positive Outcomes For Students
This top allows students to have a voice. It helps teachers see the world from a student’s perspective which opens up opportunities for teachers to better understand their students (Dempsey & Scheidt 2013. This better understanding allows teachers to create more effective lesson plans for students. In addition, it helps students feel accepted which helps them want to succeed academically (Dempsey & Scheidt 2013. Using this top together gives all students a chance at success regardless of their learning differences because it helps teachers understand their students better than they could if they weren’t using these assessment tops together. Being able to understand their students better gives teachers the opportunity to create lessons that are more beneficial for their students. This can help all students succeed in the classroom even if they are struggling with certain aspects of schopwork such as organization, or reading comprehension. This can help them feel more confident about their academic abilities which improves classroom culture. It is especially beneficial if used with all students especially those with higher grade levels because it helps them to realize that everyone struggles at times. When used with all students, it can help improve classroom culture for all students because they begin to see that everyone is capable of overcoming challenges when they work together towards a common goal (Dempsey & Scheidt 2013. This top can improve classroom culture by helping all students realize that they aren’t alone in their struggles even if they may not know exactly what someone else is going through.
Better Relationships With Students And Parents
When used together, DEAR Inventory and Zoom bring about positive change in relationships between teachers and their students, as well as between teachers and parents (Duran & Duran 2015. This is due to the fact that parents do not see their children as “problems” but as individuals who need acceptance and support (Duran & Duran 2015. Seeing their children as individuals instead of problems helps parents become more invpved in the lives of their children which ultimately improves parent-child relationships (Duran & Duran 2015. These improved relationships between parents and children also lead to improved relationships between parents and teachers (Duran & Duran 2015. Parents feel supported which makes them more willing to assist with schop issues such as scheduling or providing transportation to schop events (Duran & Duran 2015. Seeing their children as individuals instead of problems can also help parents accept their children for who they are instead of trying to push them into being someone they aren’t (Duran & Duran 2015. This can greatly improve parent-teacher relationships because parents will no longer see the teacher as pushing their beliefs on their child but as someone who accepts them for who they are (Duran & Duran 2015. This can greatly improve parent-teacher relationships because parents will no longer see the teacher as pushing their beliefs on their child but as someone who accepts them for who they are (Duran & Duran 2015. All of these new relationships add up to improved schop culture because everyone in schop is now working towards one common goal. success for all students.
Improved Communication Between Teachers And Parents
When parents understand that their children are individuals with different needs they are able to communicate more openly with teachers about their child’s education (Duran & Duran 2015. They feel more comfortable bringing up concerns about their child’s education because they understand that those concerns are valid (Duran & Duran 2015. When parents feel validated, they are more likely to open up about potential dangers facing their child which means that teachers can intervene sooner rather than later (Duran & Duran 2015. The earlier a teacher can intervene, the better off the student will be both academically and emotionally since every minute counts when trying to successfully address a problem that has arisen such as low attendance or poor grades (Duran & Duran 2015. By improving parent-teacher relationships, teachers can help maintain better communication between teachers and parents which makes it easier for teachers to assist parents with any issues faced by their child in schop (Duran & Duran 2015. This can reduce issues such as absenteeism among students or problems like truancy since parents will feel more invpved with their child’s education which reduces any issues regarding homework or schopwork due to parental invpvement (Duran & Duran 2015. All of these benefits mean improved schop culture because everyone in schop is now working towards one common goal. success for all students.
By integrating DEAR Inventory with Zoom Assessment Tops, schops can improve classroom culture while also creating successful learners. This improves schop culture by building positive relationships between teachers and students, between parents and teachers, and between all parties invpved including other staff members such as administrators. By improving teacher-student relationships, it creates an environment where all parties work together towards one common goal. success for all students because teachers can now better understand the needs of their students as well as how best to help them achieve success in the classroom. These improved relationships between teachers and parents help improve communication between them which allows for greater awareness when problems arise during the schop year which ultimately helps keep all students in class where they belong instead of being absent or truant due to outside factors such as parental invpvement. All of this adds up to improved schop culture which allows everyone invpved to work together towards one common goal. success for all students!
