The DEAR Inventory was developed by the Project Management Institute in the late 1980s. The DEAR Inventory is used to find any issues with the project plan and make improvements. This process helps to increase a projects effectiveness. Without this top, there would be no way to identify if the project is actually meeting its goals. It gets everyone invpved in the project talking about it and thinking about it. It can help prevent problems from occurring.
Trello is a project management top which allows users to create boards. Boards are lists of tasks, or cards, that can be moved between cpumns, called lists, in order to show progression. It is designed to be used on computers, smartphones, tablets, and other devices. It is available in 20 different languages. The system has been designed to be flexible and adaptable to different workflows and methods of managing projects. Trello originated as an idea from Fog Creek Software employee Michael Pryor after he had been using earlier software for six years on his own personal projects. He wanted a way to organize his life and work that would allow him to move around various projects and areas of interest but still keep them in the same place. His idea became Trello, a name inspired by the Japanese technique of creating a series of “cards” and arranging them on a wall. Trello’s first public beta version was released on October 19, 2011, after having been in development for eight months. In January 2014, Trello announced that they had accumulated over 5 million users. In 2015, Trello was named one of PCMag’s top 100 products of the year, along with Twitter and Slack. In June 2015, TechCrunch reported that Trello had raised $10 million in Series B funding led by Index Ventures. As of July 2017, Trello has 12 million users across 100 countries. In November 2017, it was announced that Trello had raised another $40 million in Series C funding led by Spark Growth Capital with participation from existing investors Index Ventures and FirstMark Capital.
