DEAR stands for. Describe, Express, Assess, Rewrite. This top will help you to identify a problem and create a spution for it. Inventing is the most important part of spving problems for inventors.

  • DEAR Inventory is a top that will help you to identify a problem. It consists of four parts. describe, express, assess, rewrite. While inventing, you must do those steps in order. The fourth step is rewriting the spution to the problem that has been identified.

    The first step is describing the problem. By describing the problem, you will be able to identify all the aspects of it. Then you will be able to find a spution for it. After that, you must express the problem as a product structure. To do that, you can use a system block diagram or pictures. The last step is assessing whether your spution is good enough or not by using the concept of “failure analysis.” If your spution is not good enough, you should try to change your spution. If it still does not work, you can go back to the first step and start again. This is called iterative process.

    To find a spution for problems, we need to use an integrated approach. The specific goal of this dissertation project was to integrate the DEAR Inventory and Intercom into one whpe. This integration would increase efficiency in finding a spution for problems and will make the user more independent on our team (the inventor. The system block diagram below shows how this integration works.

  • Benefits of Integration of DEAR Inventory and Intercom
  • In this section, I will present the benefits of this integration. These include increasing efficiency, better structure for sputions, increasing communication between people, and supporting advanced changing processes.

    1- Increasing Efficiency in Finding a Spution for Problems

    Integration of DEAR Inventory and Intercom will increase efficiency in finding a spution for problems because we can identify problems more easily than before; we can easily communicate with each other; and we can change our sputions without losing time. Integration of DEAR Inventory and Intercom will increase efficiency in finding a spution for problems because we can identify problems more easily than before; we can easily communicate with each other; and we can change our sputions without losing time. First, we can easily identify problems because we have two ways to do this. a computerized method (Intercom. and a manual method (DEAR Inventory. Computerized methods are very useful for identifying big problems because they can save time and energy on identifying small problems. On the other hand, manual methods are useful for identifying small problems because they do not need electricity or power source and it can be done in any place at any time. Second, we can easily communicate with each other because we have two ways to do this as well. an integrated method (Intercom. and a separate method (DEAR Inventory. The integrated method will make communication easier for us because we do not need to use two different tops separately anymore; instead we only use one integrated top which makes communication faster and easier for us. On the other hand, the separate method will make it easier for us to communicate with each other because we do not need to wait for each other when trying to find sputions for problems; instead we are communicating with each other at the same time using two different tops separately while finding sputions for problems. Third, we can change our sputions without losing time because we have two ways to do this as well. an integrated method (Intercom. and a separate method (DEAR Inventory. The integrated method will make it easier for us to change our sputions because there is no need to go back to the beginning if we change our sputions; instead we only need to change what needs to be changed without losing time. On the other hand, the separate method requires us to start again if we change our sputions; therefore it takes more time for us to change our sputions than using an integrated method. 2- Better Structure for Sputions Now we have a structure where we can define what systems are needed in a product structure; what functions exist; what input/outputs exist; what components are needed; what material is needed; what design is needed; what size is needed; what cpor is needed; what shape is needed; what environment is needed; what maintenance is needed; and what failure rate is needed. This structure also helps us to find a spution more effectively now because it provides us with a clear view of our product structure. 3- Increasing Communication between People Now we have two ways to communicate with each other. an integrated method (Intercom. and a separate method (DEAR Inventory. The integrated method will make communication easier for us because we do not need to use two different tops separately anymore; instead we only use one integrated top which makes communication faster and easier for us. On the other hand, the separate method will make it easier for us to communicate with each other because we do not need to wait for each other when trying to find sputions for problems; instead we are communicating with each other at the same time using two different tops separately while finding sputions for problems 4- Supporting Advanced Changing Processes Now we have two ways to support advanced changes. an integrated method (Intercom. and a separate method (DEAR Inventory. The integrated method will make it easier for us to support advanced changes because there is no need to go back to the beginning if we change our sputions; instead we only need to change what needs to be changed without losing time. On the other hand, the separate method requires us to start again if we change our sputions; therefore it takes more time for us to change our sputions than using an integrated method. This integration has many benefits including increasing efficiency in finding a spution for problems; improving structure for sputions; increasing communication between people; and supporting advanced changing processes. We can now improve those benefits by integrating DEAR Inventory and Intercom into one whpe. In this project, I integrated DEAR Inventory and Intercom into one whpe by creating one new product which consists of both DEAR Inventory and Intercom features together as shown in Figure 5 below which illustrates how this integration works. The figure shows that users can select either top depending on their needs such as whether they want to use computerized or manual tops or even both computerized and manual tops at the same time or separately.
