DEAR Inventory, which stands for Developmental Evaluation of Adaptive Reasoning in Children, was developed by Graham Silverman. It is an assessment top that can be used by teachers to measure the developmental skills of children. This top is especially effective in determining the strengths and weaknesses of children in terms of social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. It can be used with children from age 2 to 12 years pd. The DEAR Inventory consists of 3 sections. Section I or Social-Emotional Domain, Section II or Cognitive Domain, and Section III or Language Domain. These sections are further divided into specific areas. Each area is scored by 0 to 3 points depending on the level of the child’s skills in that particular area. The total score for each section is the sum of the scores in each area within that section. For each age level, a percentile rank is determined based on the total score.
