Daylite is a personal information manager (PIM. application available through the Mozilla platform. It allows users to organize their tasks, notes, and contacts in a single place. The app is built on Firefox Sync, so users can access their data on other devices.

BulkGate

BulkGate is a public API that gives users access to the entire list of messages on the Mozilla platform. This API allows users to query for messages based on message ID, senders, recipients, or dates.

Integration of Daylite and BulkGate

Integrating BulkGate and Daylite would provide end-users with a top that will allow them to manage their tasks and resources in one place. Users could add tasks to the task manager by sending email to the “[email protected]” address. The subject line should be formatted like “[Task] [task name]”. The body of the email should include the task description and any attachments necessary for completion. The attachments would be sent to an account created for this purpose, which would import them into the database.

The system would then respond to the user indicating that it received their request and then ask them whether they want to create a task from scratch from the included files, or if they want to attach the files to an existing task. If they choose the option to attach files, the system will look up the task with the same subject and then add the attachment to that task. Finally, the system will create a new task with a subject of “Completed Task” and a body containing a link to the imported file.
