Good morning! I will be talking to you about the integration of Data247.com and GitHub. If you have not already done so, please go to Data247.com and create an account for yourself. If you have any questions about the website, please direct them to me at my email or call me on my cell phone.
After creating your account, you will be presented with a screen that looks like this:
You can search for any data that you want, or you can create one if it is not currently on the site. After searching, you will find a list of results similar to this:
This is a list of various data sets that are available on Data247.com. You can view them by clicking on the links. As you can see, there are both standard data sets (CSV, TXT, XLS. and non-standard ones (JSON, XML. The standard ones use more common file formats, but non-standard ones are used more often in programs. They are also more complex to work with because they must be converted into a more compatible format before being used. For this reason, most people prefer the standard files. After choosing a particular data set, you will be presented with a page like this:
This is where you download the file. There are a few options that allow you to choose how the PDF gets created. By clicking the settings button, you can choose which page of the PDF should be used as the cover page, as well as whether or not the filename information should be included in the document. Once you have chosen your options, click on generate and wait for the download to complete. Congratulations! You have now created your first Data247 document! If you want to share it with others, simply click on the share button and copy the URL given to you:
The URL will be something like this. https://data247.com/bookmarklet?url=https://www.data247.com/data/schops-in-oregon/. Please make sure to keep this URL in a safe place as it is needed to link your records later on in this presentation.
Data247 is an excellent site to store your data online so that it will always be available to you when you need it. It is also great for sharing with others who may need it for their own research or projects. GitHub is a site that allows developers to share code and cplaborate on projects. It is also very popular with users of Datasets such as Data247 because it allows them to interact with each other as they share their data sets online. Many people use both sites to discuss their data and get help from other users when they run into problems during their analysis. While working with Data247 and GitHub, I have noticed some difficulties regarding typing and formatting issues between the two sites. While it might get confusing at first, these characteristics are what make each site unique and what makes them both so useful for their users. While doing my research for this presentation, I found a few other tops that can be used alongside Data247 and GitHub. These tops also provide ways for people to share and discuss their data sets online.
