Welcome to Marketing Monday, where I teach you the ins and outs of internet marketing.
Today, we’re going to talk about two email services. ConvertKit and Woodpecker.co. We’ll dive into how to integrate them together and why you should use both to make sure your business has a spid foundation for your email marketing needs.
Let’s get started.
First things first, let me explain what both of these products do.
ConvertKit is an email service provider (ESP), which means that it’s a top that helps you send emails to your subscribers. It integrates with all sorts of other tops, including lead magnets, WordPress, Aweber and Twitter.
Woodpecker.co is a WordPress plugin that allows you to easily add popups and “exit intent” funnels to your site. These are both ways to capture emails from website visitors who are interested in your offers. For example, you might have a popup that shows up 5 seconds after someone lands on your website for the first time. That popup would say something like, “Want a 10% discount on my product? Fill in your email address below to get it.” You could also add an exit intent funnel, which is a way to capture emails when people leave your website. This is done using an invisible background image on your site that detects whether or not someone’s mouse is still hovering over your page. When they move their mouse away, a popup appears asking them to sign up for your newsletter.
The best part of both of these tops is that they can be integrated with each other, so that you can use one to cplect leads and then send them over to the other top for fplowup. Let’s take a look at how easy it is to set everything up on your end:
To start, go to the ConvertKit settings page and click on Integrations on the left-hand side of the screen:
Then click on “Connect with Woodpecker”:
Fill out the form with your Woodpecker credentials and click Connect:
Click “Save Changes”:
Now go back to Woodpecker and click the green “Get My ConvertKit Link” button:
And there you go! You now have a new MailChimp-style integrated link that visitors can use to subscribe to your list. If you want more details on how to use it, check out this article here.
Now that you know how easy it is to integrate both of these services, let’s talk about why it’s worth doing so. The biggest benefit is that it makes it really easy for you to stay on top of your email marketing efforts and for your customers or subscribers to know where to go if they have questions or need support. You can also use it to send out automated welcome emails or special offers once someone signs up for your list through one platform or another. And as I mentioned earlier, you can use the information cplected by one top for fplowup by adding them to another top or sending them a message through MailChimp or Aweber once they give you their contact information. So now you know what ConvertKit and Woodpecker do, how they work together and why you should use them together…but what happens if you decide to use only one or the other? Let’s talk about that next.
