SMS By Connect is a service provided by Constant Contact which allows users to send text messages to their contacts using the Constant Contact platform. It is designed for users who would like to add text messaging capabilities to their email marketing campaigns and website. Companies can use the service to deliver company news and updates, send out event invitations or reminders, and more. It has been described as a "cost-effective way to stay in touch with your contacts."
For companies that want to integrate text messaging with their Constant Contact marketing efforts, there are several methods available. The simplest method is to simply add SMS By Connect to your account (for free!. This will allow you to easily send text messages to your subscribers and contacts. However, if you want to take things a step further and integrate text messages into your email marketing campaign, then you will need to look into another method.
Companies that do not want to send automated messages via their Constant Contact account can pay a one-time fee of $250 for a custom integration with SMS By Connect. In this method, your messages will be sent from your own computer system to SMS By Connect's system, so they will be able to be sent from any device using the Internet. This integration also allows companies to track how many messages have been sent and if a message was acted on. If a message is not acted on within a certain amount of time, it can be automatically re-sent without any manual input from the user. Once a message has been sent through this integration, the message will show up in the subscriber's inbox as if it were an email from Constant Contact. When a subscriber opens the message, it will appear as a text message instead of an email. These messages can be sent from either the Constant Contact website or from a computer using applications such as Outlook or Thunderbird. The messages can also be scheduled to go out at a later date and time through the Constant Contact website or through a computer application such as Outlook or Thunderbird.
Integrating SMS By Connect into your current Constant Contact campaign is easy and only requires minor adjustments to your campaign. First, you will need to create a new campaign within your Constant Contact account. This campaign will be used to send out text messages rather than emails. You will also need to make sure that you place your phone number in the "from" field instead of "on behalf of". Make sure that you put the mobile country code in front of your telephone number (ex. +1 555 123 4567. if you are sending messages internationally. You should also make sure that you are sending your messages with HTML formatting turned on so that they are displayed correctly when sent as text messages. Lastly, make sure that your mobile subscribers are subscribed to text message delivery rather than email delivery via Constant Contact's settings page under "Subscriber Preferences".
Once you have created your text message campaign, you can test it by sending yourself a test message using the Test Messaging option under the Messages menu within your Constant Contact account. Make sure that you have included all of the information for your subscribers in your message so that they know exactly what the message is about when they receive it as an SMS text message. Then, schedule your campaign to send out at the frequency you would like it to send out at. You can schedule these messages to go out hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or any other frequency interval available through Constant Contact's schedule top. Once you have finished setting up the text message campaign, you can start using it in conjunction with your email marketing campaign. The best way to do this would be to include both emails and text messages within the same marketing campaign so that potential subscribers receive both types of communication about what you are trying to promote or sell. This strategy allows for maximum exposure of your product or service since everyone has access to email and text messaging nowadays (and many people may ignore email but check their texts regularly. Plus, if someone does not act on an email within your marketing campaign within your Constant Contact account, you can set up an SMS By Connect rule that will automatically re-send them the same email as a text message on a regular basis until they respond (or until they indicate on their settings page on Constant Contact's website that they would prefer not to receive any more text messages regarding your product or service. This makes sure that every possible subscriber receives every piece of information regarding what you are offering regardless of whether they choose to receive an email or text message initially. This also gives them multiple opportunities over time to act on the information they are receiving about what you are selling or promoting so that they don't forget about it or lose interest over time. Even if they do not act on the information initially, having multiple chances for them to respond later could mean that they will eventually respond because they remember seeing it before and decide to respond during one of those times when they see it again. Sending out an email initially increases your visibility and reach since most people read their emails regularly but may ignore texts unless they know they're coming because of something specific going on in their life (i.e., if they expect a call from someone or know someone is texting them. Sending out a text message along with an email increases your chances of reaching those subscribers who may have ignored your initial email but will check their texts regularly because they expect something important from someone because of something going on in their life right now (i.e., if they just got off work and know someone is texting them. Plus, if someone deletes or ignores an email after reading it once due to whatever reason they have for doing so, there is no way for them to tell if you have sent them another one after that even though it may have been done automatically through another process because they won't necessarily see or remember seeing another email from you until they check their inbox again sometime in the future if it contains another automated email from you as part of another Constant Contact campaign they subscribed to previously (unless someone specifically checks their spam fpder for emails from various sources due to negative experiences with emails from those sources before. However, people who check their texts regularly may see multiple texts from someone at different times throughout the day and defer responding until later if they don't have time to respond immediately due to other commitments (i.e., work or schop. and then reply at some point during those multiple times throughout the day if time permits them after each time they checked their texts earlier in the day (i.e., checking their texts first thing when they wake up and before bed at night before turning off their phones. Therefore, sending out both types of communication increases your chances of reaching those subscribers who forget about an email but still check their texts regularly because it gives them multiple chances throughout the day via texts instead of just one initial chance via an email which could be forgotten due to other commitments unless they specifically remember seeing it and decide to respond later. Additionally, sending out multiple emails with different subject lines could increase your chances of getting people's attention even further since many people use different fpders for different types of emails (ex. work email fpder vs personal email fpder. so even though they may have deleted or ignored an email after reading it once due to whatever reason they had for doing so, there is no way for them to tell if you have sent them another one after that even though it may have been done automatically through another process because they won't necessarily see or remember seeing another email from you until they check their inbox again sometime in the future if it contains another automated email from you as part of another Constant Contact campaign they subscribed to previously unless someone specifically checks their spam fpder for emails from various sources due to negative experiences with emails from those sources before. Sending out different variations of automated text messages could also increase your chances of getting someone's attention depending on how many variations you send per person depending on how
