Integration of Clubhouse and LinkedIn

I am writing an article for the class about Clubhouse and LinkedIn. I created an outline to help me organize my thoughts. In this article, I will be discussing what both of these organizations are along with how they are connected to one another.

  • Integration of Clubhouse and LinkedIn
  • Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is a social media website that was developed for individuals with developmental disabilities. It was created in 2004 by Dr. Nancy Henderson, a clinical psychpogist who is also the founder of the Center for Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis. There are currently over 100,000 users on Clubhouse and approximately 60 different boards. The purpose of Clubhouse is to provide people with special needs with a way to learn new skills while having fun at the same time. Users can share photos, videos, and text updates about their lives, hobbies, and interests. The website is free for anyone to join; however, there are additional fees depending on what services you choose to use. For example, if you want to add video posts or attach photos to your updates then you have to pay a fee. Users can also pay a fee to have their own Clubhouse page and get their own personal URL address.

  • LinkedIn?
  • LinkedIn is a social networking website for business professionals around the world. It has over 250 million users worldwide and is currently ranked as the 3rd most visited website in the world. LinkedIn provides users with a platform where they can network with other business professionals and share information about themselves and their careers. Members can join groups, which is similar to joining a club or a group on Facebook. They are able to post discussions on individuals’ profiles and connect with other members by viewing their profile information, work history, education, and more. LinkedIn has also expanded its site into other countries such as China, Japan, France, Germany, India, Italy, Spain, Russia, and Brazil.

Integrating Clubhouse and LinkedIn serves as a great way for these two organizations to come together in order to provide benefits to both individuals with special needs and business professionals. By connecting individuals with special needs to other business professionals through LinkedIn they will be able to broaden their network while being able to communicate with others in different fields of work. Business professionals who use LinkedIn will be able to make connections with those who have special needs at a much faster rate than they would normally be able to do so on their own given that they have similar interests. Both of these organizations can benefit immensely from this integration!
