Firebase is a mobile and web application development platform developed by Google. Using Firebase, its users can store and sync data in real time and deliver them to mobile and web applications with ease.
OpsGenie is a cloud-based notification and incident management platform that can be integrated with various services such as Firebase Cloud Storage to notify its users about events such as storage quota exceeded, files deleted by another user, files created, etc.
The integration of Firebase Cloud Storage and OpsGenie is very simple and straightforward. To integrate the two, users must fplow the steps listed below:
Step 1. Create a WebHook on OpsGenie.
Step 2. Make sure your OpsGenie account has been verified and activated.
Step 3. Go to the Integration page of Firebase Conspe. Click on Webhooks link available in the left sidebar. Click on Add Webhook button. Click on Register New Service button. Specify the fplowing values for your Webhook URL field. Integration Key . Click on Show Key button to reveal the Integration Key. This key should be copied from here.
Service URL . http://api.opsgenie.com/v1otifications/webhooks/ . Click on Test Verification Token button to make sure that you have entered the correct Integration Key. Click Save button to save your Webhook URL. Click on Access Settings menu item in Step 6 to specify OpsGenie Authentication Token . Click on Get Access Token button to generate the token. You will receive your token after a few moments. Copy your token from OpsGenie into the Access Token field in Step 6 of the same page. Click Save button to save your settings. Click on Test Settings button to test if your settings are configured correctly. If the test is successful, you will receive a message saying Your webhook has been added successfully! Click on Test Notification button to send a test notification using the Webhook URL you have just registered. After sending the notification, you will receive a success message saying “Successfully sent test notification to webhook” in your browser conspe. Click on Create Webhook button to create your Webhook in Firebase conspe. Enable all channels you want to subscribe in your Webhook by checking their checkboxes (the channels are listed in step 4. Click Save button when you are done with enabling the channels you wish to subscribe in your webhook. Click on View Test History button in order to check notifications sent via this webhook in past days/weeks/months/years (depending on how many days you want to see in test history. Click on Delete Webhook button if you wish to delete this webhook later. You may do so if you wish to change the Webhook URL for any reason or if you want to change the service URL before you integrate OpsGenie with Firebase Cloud Storage again (e.g., if you decide to use an SSL certificate for this webhook.
