I. Introduction:At the end of my internship, I have been able to understand the two products – ClickSend SMS and ServiceNow. There was a lot that I did not know about ServiceNow. After the first week of working here, I have realized that it is a very powerful top that helps in the management of IT infrastructure.
ClickSend SMS provides SMS services to users around the globe for sending and receiving messages from their mobile devices. It offers enterprise-level messaging for businesses looking to engage with customers, employees, and partners through fast, secure, reliable and scalable services. The advanced features of ClickSend SMS include alerts, notifications, reminders and inquiries.
ServiceNow is an enterprise IT service management suite. It covers the entire functionality of a service desk from the first call to respution and even post-respution activities like enabling better service delivery by providing real-time status updates. This product is very flexible in terms of the way it can be used and has a very user friendly interface. It also has the ability to be integrated with other products like ClickSend SMS.
Integration of ClickSend SMS and ServiceNow:The two products were integrated using SOAP API in order to facilitate communication between the two applications. Before implementing these applications, I wanted to understand what each product did separately. My understanding of each product will help me implement them together more effectively. I have come up with a list of questions that were answered in this implementation:
•What is ClickSend SMS?
•What is ServiceNow and what do its modules do?
•What are the benefits of integrating the two products together?
•How do they get integrated together?
Benefits of Integration of ClickSend SMS and ServiceNow:The benefits of integrating these two products are:
•Information on each customer/user is available in both products so that information can be updated in both applications at once using the integration. Therefore, there is no need for the user to remember all the details about himself/herself or to write everything down again in both applications separately.
•All the information related to support tickets can be retrieved from ServiceNow on one screen. This saves time for the agent as he/she doesn’t have to go back and forth between different applications.
•The customer can send a message to ClickSend SMS and receive an acknowledgement which will also contain any message he/she might have sent along with an error or warning code. This would help in troubleshooting issues faster as well as communicating with the customer about the issue at hand.
•Any changes made in ServiceNow would reflect in ClickSend SMS automatically once service management is enabled on ClickSend SMS. This makes maintenance very easy as users don’t have to update all the information manually every time something changes.I. Conclusion:After using ClickSend SMS and ServiceNow for six weeks now, I can say that I am really happy with these two products because they make life easier. They save a lot of time and effort for Support Agents by making their work much faster and smoother. The integration of these two products makes things even more convenient for them so that they can focus on doing what is important i.e. helping customers spve their issues quickly. By integrating two systems, Support Agents can serve their customers better by being able to provide them with more information easily.
