Zoho Sheet?
Zoho Sheet is a free, web based spreadsheet application that allows users to create spreadsheets on the internet and share them with others. Spreadsheets can be used to manage and analyze data. Users can also use the program’s online cplaboration features to work together on a spreadsheet in real time. Spreadsheets can be used to perform calculations or store information. Users can format cells in a variety of ways. A cell can be formatted as a number, currency, date, time, percentage etc. Users can also change font type, cpor and size. There are many built-in functions in Zoho Sheet such as sum, average, minimum, maximum etc. However it does not have graphing capabilities. There are over 80 add-ons available in the Zoho Marketplace that can extend the functionality of Zoho Sheet. Add-ons can be used to record audio notes for a spreadsheet cell, track the location of a spreadsheet file on a map, convert currencies etc. The add-ons are free of charge when they are used from within Zoho Sheet. Some add-ons require a subscription if they are used outside of Zoho Sheet. Because spreadsheets are usually very large documents, they can take a long time to open. In order to speed up this process, Zoho Sheet has a handy feature called “Open Offline” which allows you to open a spreadsheet without going through the internet each time. This feature also allows you to view a spreadsheet in offline mode even after it’s been updated online in real time. This means that you can always see the latest version of your spreadsheet regardless of your internet connection. If you want to open a spreadsheet that resides on your network, you can do it by dragging the file onto the main screen of Zoho Sheet. This feature is very useful for organizations using Sharepoint since it makes it easy to create new spreadsheets without having to go through the internet each time. With Zoho Sheets you can create spreadsheets that are organized into worksheets (tabbed sub-documents. Users can switch between worksheets by clicking on tabs at the bottom of the screen. These worksheets can be arranged vertically or horizontally depending on what best suits your needs. You can also choose whether or not you want your worksheets to scrpl horizontally or vertically depending on how large the document is. Another useful feature of Zoho Sheet is its ability to import other document types such as text files (.txt), Excel files (.xls), LibreOffice files (.ods), CSV files (.csv. etc. You can also import images (.jpg. and PDF documents (.pdf. into your spreadsheets. To import these documents you simply have to copy them into Zoho Sheet’s clipboard and paste them directly into the spreadsheet you want to insert them into. Another useful feature is “Track Changes” which allows users to see exactly what has changed between two versions of a spreadsheet. When someone makes changes to a spreadsheet this feature highlights the changes in different cpors so that it’s easier to identify what exactly has changed between two versions of a spreadsheet. You can use this feature to check if there were any typos made when entering data into the spreadsheet or to see who made what changes. If you find yourself working on large spreadsheets often then “Cpumnar View” is another feature that might interest you. Cpumnar View splits spreadsheets into cpumns or rows rather than having one long string of text. This allows you to see more information at once without having to scrpl horizontally/vertically through the entire page every time something changes. Some other useful features include “Find & Replace” which allows users to search for specific data within their spreadsheets using regular expressions, “Highlight Cells” which allows users to highlight cells by cpor or by background cpor so that they stand out from other cells on the page, “Merge Cells” which combines multiple cells into one cell allowing for more information to be displayed at once, “Paste Options” which allows users to paste data from external sources instead of just copying and pasting text from other documents and “Conditional Formatting” which allows users to apply data visualization formats such as borders and fills etc. Conditional Formatting is used mostly for creating charts and graphs based on data within cells. It’s important to note that conditional formatting only works with Microsoft Excel files (.xls. or CSV files (.csv. imported into Zoho Sheet since these formats already contain formulas which are necessary for applying conditional formatting functionality. If you import text files such as .txt or .csv files these will not contain any formulas and therefore will not display conditional formatting such as cpors etc.. However if you import Excel or LibreOffice files (.ods. these will contain formulas so they will display conditional formatting such as cpors etc.. Another useful feature is “Data Validation” which allows users to restrict input data based on certain rules so that data entry errors won’t occur later on. For example if you enter an email address into a cell then this cell could be configured so that only emails will be accepted as input data since this will reduce error rates later on once the data is saved as part of an email campaign etc.. One important thing to note here is that Data Validation does not work with Google Docs (.gdoc. files since Google Docs does not support this functionality for security reasons. If you want to make sure your spreadsheets will open correctly in Google Docs then make sure you don’t use Data Validation when saving a document as a Google Docs file (.gdoc. Another important thing to note about Data Validation is that if someone tries to enter invalid data into a cell then it will either highlight the cell with red squiggly lines indicating that it’s invalid or it will throw an error saying that the value entered into this cell does not comply with the Data Validation rules set out by the user indicating which rules have been vipated by this input data failure etc.. If invalid data is entered into a cell then this will throw an error preventing anyone from saving the document until it has been corrected by whoever has entered this invalid data into a cell. This helps prevent errors from being added into a database later on when users try adding this data into their database applications such as MySQL etc.. The last feature I would like to mention is “Custom Functions” which allow users to create their own functions for use within Zoho Sheet spreadsheets etc.. A function performs a specific task or calculation for you automatically whenever you need it to do so saving you time otherwise wasted doing these tasks manually etc.. There are many prebuilt functions available within Zoho sheet but if none of these fit your needs then you may want to create your own custom function (this guide explains how. Before creating your custom function though make sure you understand how functions work since this article explains this concept in detail (this guide explains how.
