CheckMarket is an e-voucher company. It was founded by Michael Duane and his son Jason Duane in 2002. They started CheckMarket as a way to provide more efficient ways for companies to distribute vouchers, gift cards, and loyalty points. The company is based in Santa Monica, California.
CheckMarket offers two services. one that handles the distribution of physical vouchers and another that handles digital vouchers. The physical voucher service is used by many businesses across the United States and Canada including Home Depot, Pizza Hut, AT&T, and others. The digital voucher service is used by many companies in the United States including Starbucks, CVS Pharmacy, Home Depot, and others.
Square is a mobile payment service that allows users to accept credit card payments using their smart phone or tablet. It was founded in 2009 by Jack Dorsey, Jim McKelvey, and their friend Peter Fenton. The Square system consists of a card reader attached to the smart phone or tablet that plugs into the audio jack. When a customer makes a purchase, the cashier swipes the card, enters the amount, and takes their picture with their device’s camera. Once the customer agrees to the transaction and signs the receipt, the cashier sends the transaction to Square’s servers for processing through a secure Internet connection. The transaction is then approved or declined, and if it is approved, the funds are sent directly to the merchant via electronic bank transfer.
Square has recently acquired CheckMarket in order to integrate its payment system into other e-voucher and loyalty point systems. This integration will allow business customers to use Square to process payments made with CheckMarket vouchers. This will also allow CheckMarket’s customers to use Square’s payment system to process payments made with their vouchers. This new integration will make it possible for businesses to create custom loyalty points for customers that allow them to pay for goods with Square points instead of cash or credit. In addition, it will allow these businesses to give their customers bonus Square points when they redeem their vouchers with Square. Finally, this integration will make it possible for businesses and customers to use Square’s “Buy Now” option to purchase items using CheckMarket vouchers.
There are numerous benefits of this new integration between CheckMarket and Square. First, merchants will have a new method for creating custom loyalty programs for their customers. Currently, businesses are limited to only offering traditional loyalty points or “punch cards” which can be redeemed at any store that offers the same card. With this new integration, merchants will be able to create their own custom “points” which will allow customers to pay for goods with these points instead of cash or credit. These points could be used only at one store or chain of stores or could be used at any store that accepts Square or CheckMarket.
Another benefit of this integration will be increased sales for both companies. Customers will probably be more likely to use their CheckMarket points if they know that they can save money by using them on certain products or services instead of just getting discounts on other products or services that they do not really need. Businesses will also increase their sales by giving out bonus points when customers redeem vouchers with Square. Finally, businesses will likely see increased sales if they offer “Buy Now” options on selected products or services where a CheckMarket voucher can be used instead of cash or credit. By allowing customers to buy products using their vouchers instead of cash or credit, businesses are increasing their sales by reducing the steps that potential customers have to take before buying items from them. This decrease in steps increases sales because customers tend to buy more quickly when they do not have to go through so many steps before making a purchase.
