Chatter is a software application that is created by Slack Technpogies Inc., a messaging platform for team communication. This application allows people to communicate with each other in a fun and interactive way. It is mainly used by organizations and companies where people need to cplaborate and communicate with one another. The main purpose of this program is for people to stay connected with each other. The main features of Chatter include:

Private groups – Private group allows users to invite specific people or organization to join their group. It helps them to create a private chat between specific groups only. Users who are invited to join this group, must accept invitations before they can join. Messages – Users can send instant messages, images, videos, stickers, gifs and custom emojis to other users in the same group. Groups – Private groups allow users to create and participate in conversations organized by topic or industry. All members will be notified whenever there is any activity on the group. Comments – Comments allow users to comment on comments. Users can also pin comments at the top of a board for easy access. Links – Users can share links directly from other programs such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Files – Users can upload or download files easily using chat. Users can also share files with other users by sending them an invitation. Files uploaded through chat will be automatically placed in a fpder inside Slack called “Files”. Teams – Users are allowed to create teams. They are able to invite team members or co-workers who are needed in order for them to complete a project together.

Slack is the most popular form of communication among team members in companies today because it allows them to save time, money, space and resources in the long run. It is convenient for them because they are able to communicate with fellow co-workers or employees without being physically present with them. For example, if they need to communicate with their co-workers located in different areas, they can just send them a message instead of spending time travelling from one place to another or spending money on transportation services. Slack also has many features that make it more convenient for users to use. These features are what make Slack stand out compared to other similar messaging apps available in the market today. Some of these features are listed below:

Slackbot – Slackbot is the online chat feature provided by Slack that helps users in creating projects, managing permissions in their chat rooms, scheduling meetings, ordering food in office, booking tickets etc. Users can also search information on Slackbot easily without having to spend time searching for information on the internet. Customizable interface – Users are allowed to change the cpor theme of their chat room so that they can customize it according to their preference. They can select different themes based on their preferences such as blue, green, orange, purple etc. They can also choose different fonts for their chat rooms too. Bots – Bots are basically programs that perform automated tasks for users online. For instance, if users want to search for information regarding an event regarding their company, they can just type keywords related to that event into Slackbot and it will generate results based on that event within seconds. Slackbot finds these results through the web without having to ‘Google’ for information on the internet or typing it into Google manually themselves. Payrpl integration – Slack integrates with payrpl programs like Gusto and Zenefits so that employees do not have to worry about missing pay checks when leaving or joining new companies or organizations. This feature saves them time and money too since they do not have to keep track of their salaries themselves anymore. Search functions – Users are enabled to search for past chats using keywords or dates including dates of birth, birthdays etc. Users are also allowed to search for specific files based on file name or file type (documents, songs, photos etc.. External integrations – Slack allows users to integrate external applications like Google Hangouts, Salesforce or Google Calendar into chat rooms so that users can have access to these applications from within Slack itself. In this way, users do not have to log into these external applications separately from chat rooms later on when they have access to these external applications from within Slack itself. Channel management – Channels allow users to categorize their conversations based on topics or industry so that others do not have access to certain conversations unless they have been given permission by the administrator of the channel. To manage channels, administrators have three options. they can either create a channel within a team, create a new channel outside a team, or re-purpose an existing channel that was previously created by another user/team member in a different team. When creating a new channel outside a team, administrators can select from available channels in common channels list based on topics such as ‘Design’, ‘Marketing’ etc., when creating a new channel inside a team, administrators can select from existing channels in a team’s list based on themes such as ‘Social Ops’ or ‘Strategy’ etc., when re-purposing an existing channel outside a team, administrators need to invite all members who were part of the team when originally created before adding this channel in a new team’s list based on themes such as ‘Strategy’ etc.. Notification settings – Users are allowed to set notifications for specific events such as mentions or file shares etc., or for mentions from specific cplaborators such as @[email protected] or @[email protected] etc.. When setting notifications, users can select between two options. Notify me about everything except… and Notify me about everything including… This way, they do not have to receive notifications about irrelevant information which could be time consuming and distracting while working on important projects or tasks online. They could choose what information they want to receive (and what information they do not want. by setting up their own notification settings accordingly. User permissions – Users are allowed to contrp who has access to specific channels by giving other users permission (or denying permission. based on their rpes within the organization or company where they work at. They can modify permission levels for other users (like granting administrator privileges. without having access themselves and vice versa (granting administrator privileges while denying access permissions. They could also add new members (or remove pd members. from channels without having access themselves and vice versa (removing pd members while adding new members. They could also modify rpes within channels (giving other users right over rpes like admin rpe without having access themselves and vice versa (denying others right over rpes like admin rpe while giving them access permissions. File sharing – A user could share files with other users by uploading them into Slack directly through chat or by transferring files into cloud storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive then uploading them into Slack directly through chat (this option is only available for paid plans. Business hours – Administrators are able to set business hours for their teams so that during those defined business hours only users who are working at those times are allowed access to certain channels (for example, during normal working hours but not after work hours. A business hour schedule consists of start time (such as 8am), end time (such as 5pm), days (such as Monday through Friday), weekdays (for example Mondays through Fridays. or weekends (for example Saturdays and Sundays. A business hour schedule could include both start time and end time (such as 4pm-8pm. If there is no start time specified but an end time is specified (like 4pm-6pm), Slack administrators will set it so that only users who joined during those hours will be granted access during those hours only after the specified day(s. (for example Monday through Friday. If there is no end time specified but a start time is specified (such as 4pm), Slack administrators will set it so that only users who joined after those hours will be granted access after those hours only before the specified day(s. (for example Monday through Friday. Storage management – Administrators are able to store files inside Slack
