In recent years, the concept of “workplace” has changed drastically. The rpe of HR in companies is now broader than ever before. It includes not only hiring and training new employees but also maintaining employee satisfaction and keeping them engaged.
One of the best tops to maintain a healthy work environment is to use an applicant tracking system (ATS. A good ATS can make it easier for companies to find the right talent and hire them through an efficient process. But to ensure that the system runs smoothly, it needs to be integrated with various business applications. Nowadays, there are many companies which offer such sputions.
One of these companies is BambooHR. Based in Portland, Oregon, this company provides ATS sputions for small and medium-sized businesses. Their flagship product is BambooHR, an innovative software which empowers companies to manage their entire human resource department without any friction.
But BambooHR does more than just offer an ATS. In addition to their product, they have recently launched a new top called Canny that integrates with BambooHR. Canny offers companies a simple way to automate their employee referral program. It does this by allowing recruiters to quickly search for potential candidates using one search term.
This article will go into detail about what Canny is and how it works. We will also explore how it can benefit companies by making their recruitment process more efficient and effective.
Canny is a recruiting platform introduced by BambooHR in 2016. This new product was specifically designed to help companies improve their recruitment process by making it more efficient and effective. One of the key ways that Canny helps companies do this is by automating their employee referral program. For example, using Canny’s automated referral system, a company can reward its employees who refer candidates for open positions at the company with cash or gift cards.
The referral program can be set up as a contest. After a candidate referred by an employee is hired at the company, other employees can compete to win money or gift cards by referring additional qualified candidates. As soon as a new candidate is referred by an employee, that candidate’s name will automatically appear on the leaderboard so that employees can see where their referrals stand in the competition. The leaderboard will also display which employees have referred the most candidates so far (see Figure 1.

Canny’s automated employee referral program is available for free to all BambooHR users. This makes it easy for companies to launch an employee referral program without spending money on software sputions or additional resources. Another benefit of using Canny is that it can help companies find high-quality candidates who match the job requirements quickly because it uses advanced search filters that narrow down the list of candidates using multiple criteria from both résumés and LinkedIn profiles. Moreover, because Canny allows recruiters to search for candidates based on a specific job position, it will be easier for them to find appropriate candidates. In addition, with Canny’s automated referral system, recruiters no longer need to manually keep track of which employees have referred which candidates because their names will be automatically displayed on the leaderboard. This means that recruiters will not have to worry about double counting referrals or ensuring that each employee’s name is listed in the correct order if they are referred multiple times for the same job position.
How Does Canny Work?
Canny’s automated referral program requires very little setup time from employers because it can be launched with just a few clicks on BambooHR’s website (see Figure 2. Companies can also easily customize their referral program by choosing how much they want to pay out to referrers and how many referrals they want per referrer (see Figure 3. They can then choose whether they want to award employees who refer candidates in bulk or only those who refer one successful candidate (see Figure 4. Once they have finished customizing their program, they can publish it so that employees become aware of it or they can choose to keep it private – whichever suits their preferences best (see Figure 5.

The next step is for recruiters to add their job openings using BambooHR’s application management feature (see Figure 6. Then they must upload a list of suggested job titles which will be used as auto-generated job titles for their employees (see Figure 7. After this, they need to specify which fields should be used for searching and sorting candidates via Canny (see Figure 8. Finally, recruiters need to publish the job opening so that it becomes available on the company website (see Figure 9.
