Integration of Calendly and Veeqo

We have a visitor at our company. He’s the CEO of the company, and he is visiting us with an aim to discuss about our business. We are running short of time, but we must ensure that he is taken care of properly. He has got a tight schedule, and it is our responsibility to make sure all his appointments are arranged with utmost importance. The CEO is travelling with his personal assistant. He is here with him only to make sure that he does not miss any meeting or appointment throughout his stay here.

As he enters the office, we approach the CEO with a warm welcome and brief him about our company’s profile briefly. We share with him some of our important achievements and explain how we are able to build up this business to its current position without much hassle. We also explain to him how we are planning to expand our business further in the future. To conclude this meeting satisfactorily, we explain what our vision is for this coming year.

We then request that he explains how he thinks we can further improve our services and help him manage his schedule better. He looks at us curiously and asks what we mean. As he is already aware of our company’s background, he knows quite well that we do not need any improvement whatsoever. After all, we are doing very well for ourselves already.

The conversation goes back and forth for some time. We are trying to convince him of how our company can be improved to serve businesses like his better, but he is less than convinced of what we are saying. He seems rather skeptical about our intentions. Eventually, I can see the CEO getting irritated with the conversation, so I ppitely ask him if he would like to continue this discussion over lunch at a nearby restaurant nearby. This calms him down a little bit, and he agrees to join us for lunch.

Unfortunately, during lunch, there is no conversation whatsoever about what we could do for this client. He is not interested in discussing anything at all during lunch. All he wants to do is eat his food quickly so that he can go back to work immediately afterwards. This is indeed a major problem for us as this meeting was supposed to be more beneficial for the CEO’s Aide than it was for the CEO himself.

Since he has had more than enough food by now, the Aide asks me where I would like him to take the CEO next on his itinerary. I am surprised by this question, because I thought that everything had already been planned out by the CEO’s aide and his team. I tell him that I am unaware of the schedule and that I am only here to ensure that everything runs smoothly during the CEO’s visit. The CEO then tells me that it has been decided that we will take him to the conference hall after lunch where he will be speaking in front of a large audience about his business success story and how it can be applied to companies like ours.

Watching the CEO leave the restaurant without saying goodbye is not really acceptable by any means, so I appogize to everyone and run after them. I catch up with them just outside the restaurant and head back inside with them again. Thankfully, the CEO does not seem irritated with me anymore and decides to carry on with the scheduled plans for later in the day. At least we still have a chance to impress this client before heading back home in a couple of hours time.

After we arrive at the conference hall, we find out that the marketing team has already sent out an email informing everyone about this event. There are too many people present at this event; there is no way we will be able to accommodate everyone in one shot. The marketing team comes up with a spution; they suggest creating two separate queues; one for early birds and another for latecomers. The marketing team manages to spve this issue rather quickly and efficiently. They check each attendee’s name against their database and inform them whether they have arrived early enough or not.

Our visitor seems impressed by how efficiently things have been handled by the marketing team who have worked relentlessly behind-the-scenes to get things done on time without any problems whatsoever. In addition, our visitor is also impressed by how quickly we have been able to provide services even though we have been constantly receiving visitors from different companies from around the world throughout the day. He tells me that this company does not have a dedicated marketing team, but that could easily change once they get back home later today. They might hire a few people soon who will deal with marketing tasks while others will be responsible for other aspects of the business.

He also tells me that he has been constantly receiving calls from other companies asking us to provide services for them as well, but until now nobody has been able to give him a satisfactory answer as to what exactly they could offer him or his company in terms of services other than their regular ones which could easily be found elsewhere as well.
