BulkGate

BulkGate is a gateway between Salesforce and other systems. It uses Bulk API to access Salesforce from other systems. When integration is completed, you can add records in Salesforce from other systems, update records in Salesforce from other systems, and delete records in Salesforce from other systems.

We need to integrate BulkGate and Salesforce. We have a range of options for this kind of integration.

Use a bulk API connector or a bulk API export. This is an option when we have a full-time programmer who can write the code for us. The connection will be direct from one system to another. Use a web service to connect to Salesforce and call the API using the web service. This is an option when we have a regular programmer. The connection will still be made using the bulk API, but we will need to write the code ourselves and use the bulk API to connect with Salesforce and send data back and forth. There are several tops available for this task. Visual Studio, Eclipse, PHP, HTML5, and JavaScript. For example, we can use PHP to connect with Salesforce and call its API using SOAP or REST. Also, there are many frameworks such as CodeIgniter, Yii, Zend, Magento, Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, and Django that provide support for connecting with Salesforce using SOAP or REST. The programming language we use will determine the choice of the project we pick up; for example, if we want to use PHP then we should pick up an existing project that supports PHP and if we want to use Visual Basic then we should pick up an existing project that supports Visual Basic instead of writing it from scratch again.
