Braintree is a payment gateway which allows merchants to accept payments and credit cards. It was established in 2007 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The company was founded by Bryan Johnson and Bill Ready. In 2015, it was acquired by PayPal for $800 million USD. It was founded with the vision of making it easier for businesses of any size to accept payments.

Digistrore24?

Digistrore24 is a US-based eCommerce platform which enables online retailers to integrate with over 700 shopping carts, including Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, and OpenCart. It helps sellers to accept payments from PayPal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Visa Checkout.

Integration of Braintree and Digistrore24

Braintree can be integrated with Digistrore24 as fplows:

  • Merchants use the dashboard of Braintree to integrate their account with their accounts on other platforms that they want to use as payment gateways. This process will enable them to accept payments from those platforms.
  • Once this integration has been done, merchants can make use of Braintree’s merchant dashboard for managing orders, customers, and payments. Merchants can also make use of dashboards of other platforms that they have integrated with Braintree to manage orders, customers, and payments. The advantage of this integration is that merchants will not have to manually copy order details to multiple places or fill out information in multiple places.
  • Merchants can also download the payment buttons for integrating them with their websites. These buttons can be customized by changing cpors, adding images, etc. Each button is available in multiple currencies and for different countries/states/regions. For instance, if a merchant wants to accept payments only in the USA, the merchant will download the payment button for USA which will display USD pricing on their website. This way, merchants need not set up separate payment pages for each currency or region. They can also change the currency or country/region at any time without having to go through the entire setup process again.
  • Once this integration is done, merchants can make use of the integrated platforms for accepting payments. For example, if a merchant has integrated Braintree with Digistrore24, he can make use of Digistrore24’s integrated payment processing for accepting payments on his website. The discount applied to the product will be automatically reflected in the total amount payable by the customer. If the discount is not specified by the merchant, Digistrore24 sends the discount configured by the merchant to Braintree for applying it to the customer’s invoice.
  • Once this integration has been done, the customer will be able to check out using either Braintree or Digistrore24’s checkout page. Depending on his preference, he can choose between Braintree and Digistrore24’s checkout page depending on how comfortable he is using them. If he has used any one of these two options before, he might prefer to select that option again instead of using a completely new interchange page. The customer can also choose his preferred payment option depending on how comfortable he feels about using it to make payments. He can choose between paying by PayPal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Visa Checkout among others depending on what he feels comfortable paying through. The customer can make use of any payment method that has been integrated with Braintree and Digistrore24 by selecting it during checkout.
  • After the customer makes his selection, he will be redirected to the appropriate payment page depending on which option he selects or selects an option other than PayPal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Visa Checkout to pay through other integrated options. After he has entered his payment details including card details and payment amount on this page, he will be redirected back to the Merchant’s website where he will be able to view his order details including order number or tracking number so that he can track its status if needed. The Merchant will get paid automatically after some time depending on which option he has selected while creating his account with Braintree. This is because all options are supported by automatic payment processing while others may require manual payment processing depending on how they are supported by Braintree and Digistrore24.
  • Once this integration has been done, merchants will be able to manage their accounts including shipping details via their dashboard on Digistrore24’s website without having to make use of Braintree’s dashboard. This will simplify the process by removing the need for copying order details from Digistrore24 to Braintree or vice versa manually every time an order is placed on one platform but needs to be completed on another platform.
