Integration of Box and ShipStation

Box?

Box is a cloud-based file-hosting service that allows businesses to share files online through a Web interface, mobile apps, and desktop software. Box was originally launched in 2005 as “Box.net” by Aaron Levie, Dylan Smith, and Ying Yeung. Since then it has grown to over 40 million users across over 180 countries. Box offers competitively priced plans for teams, enterprises, and governments. The company also offers an API which allows developers to create custom integrations with the service.

ShipStation?

ShipStation is a shipping and tracking platform that allows users to connect with multiple shipping carriers and automate their online store fulfillment. You can ship and track all your orders and inventory and manage customer relationships directly from your Shopify store using ShipStation. ShipStation boasts integrations with several top ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, Amazon Fulfillment, FedEx, UPS, USPS, and more.

Integration of Box and ShipStation

The Box and ShipStation integration allows you to easily import your products from Box into ShipStation. This includes the ability to import new products as well as updates on existing products.

Benefits of Integration of Box and ShipStation:

  • Quick and easy product uploads. By automating the process of importing new and updated products from Box to ShipStation, you save time and money by not having to manually enter data into the ShipStation platform.
  • Save time on order management. The integration automatically imports current and updated product lists from Box into ShipStation. This means that you do not have to spend time manually entering each product into the ShipStation platform. Instead, this task is completed by the integration.
  • Gain visibility for your products. The integration allows you to view all your products in one place, regardless of whether you sell them on a Shopify store or on a different ecommerce platform such as Amazon.com. This provides a unified view of your products across all sales channels. It also makes it easier for you to cross-sell related products across platforms.
  • Automatically update inventory levels. When you import items from Box it automatically updates inventory levels in ShipStation as well as in your other sales channels. In addition, when an item is deleted from Box it will be removed from the remaining sales channels as well. This eliminates the need for manual reconciliation between your sales channels.
  • Track shipments from a central location. With the integration, you can create a shipment in Box and it will automatically move through the shipping process in ShipStation with status updates along the way. As soon as the package reaches its final destination you will receive an email notification from both services. You can also use ShipStation with Box to create an automatic packing slip with all the information required for your customers to file a claim if something goes wrong with their order during transit. In addition, you can easily pull up conspidated reports on shipment performance straight from your ShipStation account.
  • Manage returns processing. The integration provides easy access to order return information stored in Box so that you can process them quickly and efficiently within your existing return ppicies in ShipStation. Any returns that are picked up by you or your customers will automatically be added back to your inventory levels in ShipStation once they are returned to you via boxcarrier services (i.e., DHL. If the item was damaged during transit or deemed defective by your customer, you can simply open a case in Box to get reimbursed for the return shipping cost incurred by yourself or the customer. These reimbursements are automatically posted back into your account in ShipStation.
  • Avoid duplicate orders. With the integration, you can easily see what orders already exist in both Box and ShipStation before creating new ones. If there are any existing orders that are already part of either service then you can merge them together so that only one order number is created instead of two. Or if there are no existing orders you can simply create one directly in either service without worrying about creating duplicates. This prevents you from accidentally creating duplicate orders which can lead to confusion among your customers or frustration for yourself when you have to fplow up with customers regarding orders that were already shipped or canceled by them or you manually.
  • Easily manage orders across sales channels. With the integration, you can easily switch between orders created in Box or Shopify by simply clicking on the appropriate tab in the Orders tab in ShipStation. This makes it easier for you to manage orders between both platforms without having to switch back and forth between accounts when working on orders for either platform during fulfillment processes or managing returns/refunds for example.
