Box, Inc is a cloud-based file-sharing company that allows users to store, access and share files online using either a web browser or client software. Box was founded in 2005 by Aaron Levie, Dylan Smith, and Tikhon Bernstam. The company has since received over $300 million in venture capital funding.

Box provides cloud storage services to individual users and businesses. Individual customers use Box's free service tier to store up to 10 GB of data for free. Businesses pay for the amount of storage they require and their ability to add new users. The service can be accessed from anywhere through an Internet connection and does not require additional software installation.

To create an account for Box, users must first register to create a username and password. Box then allows users to sign in and out of their account without requiring a password to be re-entered; this function can be disabled by the user. Shipcloud is a shipping service that connects directly to the users' e-commerce platform and automates their shipping process. It simplifies the shipping process and makes it easier to manage the entire shipping cycle including rates, tracking and reporting. Shipcloud eliminates the need for extra software by integrating directly into the e-commerce platform so there is no need to manually update pricing or change prices when a product is spd. By connecting directly to the platform, Shipcloud automatically updates its pricing engine when items are added or removed from an order so rates are accurate at all times. It has won multiple awards including being ranked in the top 25 startups in the UK in 2014 and 2015 by Tech City News. Shipcloud have been featured in publications such as Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes and The Daily Telegraph. In 2014 Shipcloud were awarded a grant from Innovate UK to help grow their business. In September 2016 it was announced that Shipcloud had been acquired by Mailjet for an undisclosed sum.

Integration of Box and Shipcloud

In 2016, Mailjet announced a partnership with Box to integrate Box’s file sharing capabilities directly into Mailjet’s email marketing platform. The integration would allow Mailjet users to send large attachments via Box, rather than having to wait for them to upload to an external service before they could be sent to a recipient. At time of writing this article there were no further details available about the integration other than a stated goal of “making it easy for Mailjet users to send large attachments without wasting time”.
