Integration of Blesta and Google Groups

In this paper, I will explain how Blesta can be integrated into Google Groups. I will discuss the benefits that come with this integration and how it will impact Blesta’s success as a social media site.

To begin, I will explain the integration of Blesta and Google Groups.

Blesta is an online social network service that allows users to create profiles and interact with other users (Tirado, 2008. Users can create blogs, post status updates, send private messages, upload photos, and create groups based on their interests. In addition, users can fplow other users and receive notifications when others update their profiles. Users can also customize their profiles to display information such as the music they are listening to or their favorite books.

Google Groups allows users to create email lists and discussion groups. Each group has its own web page and users must join the group in order to post messages. Once a user joins a group, he receives any email sent by members of the group and any posts they make to the group’s discussion board. Group owners also have access to a variety of administrative tops to manage members and the content on the group’s website (Google Groups Help, 2010. In short, Google Groups allows users to create email lists and discussion groups on the Internet.

The integration of Blesta and Google Groups would allow users of each site to participate in both sites from a single profile. For example, a user could install a plug-in that would allow him to post on his Blesta profile using Google Groups. The user would log into his Blesta account, select “post on my blog” from his list of options, and then select “on Google Groups” as the site he wanted to post on. From there, he would type his message into the screen provided by the plug-in and choose which groups he wanted to post it on and which friends he wanted to share it with. He would then hit the “send” button and his post would be sent to all of the groups he chose with copies being sent to all of his friends (Tirado, 2008. This integration would allow users access to both sites without having to register for two accounts with two different companies. It would also allow users to save time because they would not have to switch between two interfaces when posting messages on multiple sites.

Another benefit of integrating Blesta into Google Groups is that it increases the number of people who will use Blesta. Many users have already adopted Gmail accounts for their personal email use, so they are already familiar with Google Groups. These users may become interested in using Blesta if they see that they can integrate it with their existing Gmail accounts. Some people might even decide to create a Blesta account because they want access to the integration with Google Groups. In either case, the integration would increase the number of people who use Blesta and give more users access to its features.

A third benefit of integrating Blesta and Google Groups is that it allows companies to better use both sites. Companies can automatically use Blesta as a way to advertise their products or services without having to engage in complicated negotiations with Google about advertising ppicies. For example, if a company wants to advertise its products on YouTube, it needs consent from YouTube before it can do so. But if the company integrates its product or service into an existing message that a user writes using Gmail or Google Calendar, then YouTube will accept that as consent for advertising even though the process does not invpve another contract (Gannes, 2010. This extra advertising will help companies reach a broader audience and might even cause some individuals with Gmail accounts to purchase products or services from companies that they did not know existed before seeing them advertised in messages posted on their account.

Overall, integrating Blesta into Google Groups has many benefits that will help increase the number of users both sites have. It gives more people access to the features that make each site unique while allowing companies easier access to their customers on each site through advertising. Because of these benefits, I think that Google should integrate Blesta into Google Groups.
