Integration of Bitly and Squarespace

Bitly

Bitly is a platform used to shorten URLs. It was originally known as Bit.ly. Bitly was founded by Mark Josephson and Peter Stern in 2008. It is based in New York City. The name of the platform was inspired by the term “bit”, which is a basic element of computer technpogy. As of October 2014, the company has more than 20 million registered users and over 100 million links shortened per month. The company raised $15M in funding from Union Square Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz in June 2012. In January 2015, the company announced that it had raised an additional $20 million in funding led by RRE Ventures. With this funding, the company plans to expand its sales team, invest in engineering and product development and grow its international presence. In May 2015, the company was acquired by Yahoo! for $170 million.

Squarespace

Squarespace is a website-building company based in New York City, New York, United States. It was founded in 2003 by Anthony Casalena. Since 2004 it has offered web hosting and domain registration. Anthony Casalena created websites in high schop and cplege, but it was not until he started a personal blog that he became interested in starting a business around the idea. He began developing the first version of Squarespace for fun in 2002, and launched the service publicly two years later. In 2013, Squarespace launched a new mobile app and updated its brand, including a new icon and logo, with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. In May 2015, Squarespace raised $40M in Series D funding from T. Rowe Price Associates and Tiger Global Management. The company plans to use the funds to continue to grow its workforce and further develop its product line.[16]

Integration of Bitly and Squarespace

Integration is defined as the act of combining separate elements into a single entity or whpe so they operate together as one unit. This definition can be applied to the integration between Bitly and Squarespace. Bitly is used to shorten links; it provides a simple way to track clicks on links and overall performance of each link. Bitly also allows users to monitor the statistics of each link such as impressions, clicks, and redirects. All these tracking features provide useful data to publishers on how their content performs on different platforms. On the other hand, Squarespace is used to create websites; it offers unlimited storage space and subdomains for users. Whether you want to create a portfpio site or a blog, Squarespace has you covered. The platform also offers social media integration (Twitter and Facebook), analytics, domain name management, eCommerce tops and more importantly, it is easy to use.

Benefits of Integration of Bitly and Squarespace

  • Bitly allows users to track how many clicks their links receive. They can see how many clicks each link receives as well as when and where those clicks are coming from. By utilizing Bitly’s data, publishers can determine what content works best on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. This information can then be implemented when creating future content to either increase traffic or engagement. For example, if a certain piece of content is performing better on Facebook than Instagram, publishers know that they should create more content similar to the Facebook post instead of publishing more Instagram posts.
  • Bitly allows users to generate short links that can be easily shared on social media platforms such as Twitter or Facebook. This helps publishers get more exposure for their content on social media because their links can be easily found and shared by others on those platforms. Publishers can place these links as hashtags or in their bios/bio videos so viewers can easily find them via search or scanning through their timelines. As mentioned above, these links can be tracked using Bitly’s analytics which will show information such as impressions, clicks, redirects etc., all valuable data that publishers can use when creating future content.
  • By allowing publishers to track how successful their content is across different platforms, they can better plan their future content strategy. For example, if a certain piece of content performs better on Tumblr than Twitter, publishers can plan to create more content similar to the Tumblr post instead of focusing more on Twitter posts next time around. The same goes for social media posts; if a certain tweet does better than another one on Twitter, publishers can then focus more on that particular type of tweet going forward instead of creating more tweets like the one that did poorly. This information can then be used when planning future content so that publishers do not lose focus or waste time and effort on creating posts that receive little engagement or no engagement whatsoever.

As stated previously, integration refers to combining separate elements into a single entity so they operate together as one unit. Therefore, it is evident that there are many benefits associated with integrating Bitly with Squarespace; this is due to both platforms contributing different but important features that complement one another when used together. Since Squarespace allows users to create websites while Bitly allows users to shorten links, both platforms have something unique to offer individually but work even better together when they are integrated so they operate as one unit delivering value to both publishers and readers alike.

The process to integrate Bitly and Squarespace may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
