In this lesson, I am going to show you how to get the most out of any application that helps you get things done faster. You will learn how to integrate three different applications into one single app of your choice. This way, you can create a seamless workflow with these applications of your choice.
Bitly is a website that allows you to shorten a link of a URL by a lot. You can make a link that is very long into one that is just a few characters long. If you wish to learn more about Bitly, click here.
Knack is an application that lets you create a quick outline for any article or report you may need to write. It is a valuable application when it comes to writing papers, and many students use it frequently in their everyday lives. If you want to learn more about Knack, click here.
Integrating Bitly and Knack together in an app is very simple. All you have to do is go into the settings of the app you wish to use and then add Bitly and Knack into the app. There are multiple ways in which you can add the applications into the app, but I will be showing you how to add Bitly and Knack into Drafts 4, which gets the job done quite nicely. Once you have added the apps into Drafts 4, open up Drafts 4 and create a new draft by clicking the plus button on the left side of the screen. Once you have created a new draft, click on the action button (the button with an arrow pointing upward. in the bottom right corner of the screen. Once you have clicked on the action button, scrpl down to where you see “Add Action” and click on it. A box should appear with various actions you may use for this draft. Scrpl down until you find Bitly. Click on it, and then click on “Get Action”. A window should pop up asking if you would like to authorize Bitly to access your information on your device. Click “Authorize”, then you will be taken back to Drafts 4 where you will see that there is now an action that has been added to your current draft. Click on the action button again, and scrpl down until you see “Add Action”. Then, click on it. Scrpl down until you get to “Add Action” again, then click on it again, but this time click on Knack instead of Bitly because we are going to do something similar to what we did with Bitly. Once Knack has been added, click on the action button again, then scrpl down until you get to “Add Action” again, then click on it again, but this time click on TextExpander instead of Knack because we are going to do something similar to what we did with Knack. Fplow the same steps as with Bitly when prompted by TextExpander. After adding all three applications into Drafts 4, simply start writing your article or report by using either Bitly or Knack when appropriate so that when you are finished writing whatever it was that you were writing, just pull up Drafts 4 and click on “Create File”, then choose whatever document type suits your needs best (i.e., Word Document, HTML Document. Then save it wherever you may need it in the future! The entire process works very well in tandem with each other, making your workflow much easier than it was before integrating these useful applications together!
