In this article I will be explaining the integration of Bitly and Basecamp 2. Before I start describing the integration, I will introduce to you what is Bitly. Basecamp 2

First of all, I will tell you about Bitly and its history. Bitly is a website that allows you to shorten links to share on your social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn posted on the web. In addition, it also facilitates URL shortening with shortened URLs as well. Bitly has been created to help users shorten links without having to reduce the number of characters in their links and then share them with other people. The first version of Basecamp 2 was released in 2009 by 37signals and it was used to organize projects and tasks. It is a project planning top used to manage the whpe workflow of a project. Later, the company developed an app called Campfire, which is a chat program designed to help people cplaborate and communicate efficiently. Campfire is integrated with Basecamp 2, so users can chat about their projects and tasks for free. The second version of Basecamp 2 was released in 2011, so the developers could improve its features and interface. In 2012, the third version was released with many useful features added such as the ability to upload files to storage areas easily and improved email notifications. The fourth release of Basecamp 2 came out in 2015 which introduced more new functionalities to make it easier for users to use it.
