Google CloudPrint is a printing service by Google which allows printing from any device connected to the Internet.However, there are security risks involved in using this type of service.A hacker could set up his own printer and trick users into connecting to it.When a user connects, the hacker could steal personal information or even malware.In order to avoid such risks, there are several measures that can be taken:

Basin.Basin is a new system for printing which uses fingerprints instead of the usual IP addresses.Each fingerprint is unique and therefore can be used to verify the identity of a printer or a computer.The implementation of Basin is based on the fact that most devices are shipped with the same hardware components.Therefore, it is very unlikely that two devices have exactly the same hardware components.

Basin is a set of programs that allow users to connect securely to printers and computers with the help of fingerprints.This implementation shows how Google CloudPrint integrates with Basin in order to print secure documents using fingerprints.It would be impossible to use Google CloudPrint without Basin since all documents would have been transferred insecurely.
