Benefits of Integration of Basin and Flock

    What is Basin?

  • Basin is a social network that combines the benefits of Twitter and Facebook, which allows you to share with your friends and family what you're doing in real time – right now, from within the app.
  • It's a smartphone app that lets you choose from a variety of filters that overlay your photos with special effects for artistic flair, as well as add captions of up to 140 characters. The pictures are then uploaded to your own private "basin" that can be shared with different groups of people.
  • Users can also create "flocks," which are essentially private groups for people you want to share pictures with. You can use flocks to share pictures with your family, or post pictures of your dog or cat to share with a group of friends who love pets.
  • It originated at the University of Virginia in 2010 by founders Casey McCall and Mike Murphy, who were later joined by co-founder Brad Brooks. They launched the beta version in April 2012, and it is currently available on both iOS (Apple. and Android (Google. platforms.
  • In September 2012, it was announced that the service had reached 1 million users and had 8 million pictures stored in its basin.

  • Integration of Basin and Flock allows users to import their Basin content onto their Flock account to create a seamless user experience between the two applications. This integration provides users with a common identity across both platforms without having to maintain duplicate accounts across each network. By leveraging the integration between Basin and Flock, users can benefit from all the features offered by both applications while continuing to leverage their existing user base across each application network.
  • Integration of Basin and Flock will allow users to export their content from Flock into a basin created on their smartphones or other mobile devices to share this content with others via third party social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, email, etc., thus increasing overall engagement with their content by creating new interactions with their followers or subscribers across social networks.
