    What is Basecamp Classic?

Basecamp Classic is a project management software that was developed by 37Signals. The software allows users to create projects, assign tasks and manage the process of a project.Basecamp 3, as it is now known, is an entirely different beast. It is not a standalone software but rather an add-on to other software such as Gmail, Outlook, Wordpress, etc. It does not have the same features or functionality as the older version, but it does have some nice features that I will cover later in this article.

    What is Time Doctor?

Time Doctor is a time tracking software that keeps track of how much time you actually spend working on a project, along with how much time you spend on other activities such as meetings or training.Time Doctor also has an integration with Basecamp 3, which I will describe later in this article.

    Integration of Basecamp Classic and Time Doctor

Time Doctor has a Basecamp Classic integration that allows users to enter their hours directly into both programs at the same time. This is useful because it allows you to keep track of how many hours you have worked on a project and how much time you have spent on other work related activities.Time Doctor also has an integration with the following software. Toggl, Harvest, Evernote, Asana, Smartsheet, Trello, Zendesk and Freshbooks.     Benefits of Integration of Basecamp Classic and Time Doctor

The benefits of integrating these two pieces of software are numerous:

  • You can see how many hours you have worked on a project over time. This lets you know if your work load is increasing or decreasing over time. If it's decreasing, maybe it's time for you to seek out another position or relocation within your company. If it's increasing, maybe it's time for you to hire additional employees to help complete your workload.
  • You can see how much time you waste each day or each week performing non-work related activities such as meetings or training sessions.
