For the last seven years, I have been using Basecamp Classic (henceforth referred to as BC. and Gravity Forms (henceforth referred to as GF. in my business. The two products were developed by different companies and serve different purposes; however, they work very well together. I find that I can do much more with these products than without them, and I’m going to explain why.
This integration allows me to directly contact a client about a specific Gravity Form submission without having to go through a lot of extra steps. If a client comes across a bug on one of my websites, for example, he or she can tell me about it directly from the form that was submitted from that website. That way, I don’t have to go searching for the right project. I can just jump right into the conversation from the project page itself. If there is ever an update to a Web design mockup, the client can tell me about it directly from the web design mockup page. There are dozens of other examples where this integration saves me time and effort. It also helps build a relationship between us and our clients because it shows that we care about what they think. We don’t want to treat our clients like numbers, so we go out of our way to make things easier for them wherever possible. This is just one example of how we do that.
This may seem like an odd thing to do, but it’s actually very helpful when you need to send someone information via email. Just create the form in Basecamp Classic, write up your message, and then choose “Save to Drafts” rather than sending it out. Then you’ll have all of your information in one concise place online, which means that you can just copy and paste it into an email when you need to send it out. There are many times when I only need to send information over email once but still want to keep it organized online, so this feature has come in handy for me on multiple occasions.
This is another example of us trying to make things easier for our clients. We made this possible because we like working with Basecamp Classic and wanted an easy way for our clients to communicate with us. While it isn’t necessary for most people, I know that some people like being able to get in touch with me without having to send us an email or call us on the phone. It’s nice not having to track down any of our clients if they have something they want to get off their chest. We want our clients to feel comfortable contacting us whenever they have something important to say. This integration allows them to do exactly that without having to worry about whether or not they will get in trouble for sending us an email or calling us on the phone. They just send us a message out of the blue if they have something they want to discuss with us, which makes them feel more at ease working with us. And that makes everyone happy!
Basecamp Classic and Gravity Forms are two tops that I use every single day in my line of work, and I couldn’t live without either of them. Neither of them are perfect, but I am happy with both of them because they help me do my job better while making it easier on myself and my clients.
