In this article, I will discuss the integration of Basecamp 3 into Zoho Desk.
Basecamp 3 is a project collaboration website that allows team members to set up projects and divide tasks. The app provides a dashboard where all team members can monitor the progress of each project from one source. This ensures that everyone in the team is on the same page.Basecamp 3 also offers integration with other applications such as Zoho Desk, which is a help desk and project management system that allows businesses to manage projects and track their status.In order to integrate Basecamp 3 with Zoho Desk, users need to get a Basecamp 3 API key and then obtain an API key for Zoho Desk as well before setting up the integration. Users can choose between two methods for integration. the easy way and the manual way.Basecamp 3 allows users to connect to Zoho Desk by simply entering their Basecamp 3 API key as well as their Zoho Desk API key into the needed fields. Once the user has entered their API keys, they can select the projects or tasks they wish to keep track of by means of Zoho Desk.Users can also connect Basecamp 3 with Zoho Desk manually by going to the Dashboard page in Basecamp 3 and selecting Integrations. From there, users can click on "Add Integration" and select Zoho Desk from the list of available applications.Users will need to copy their Basecamp 3 API key and paste it into the required space as well as their Zoho Desk API key and paste it into the other required field. After pasting their keys, users can test out the connection and see if it works properly. When users are ready to proceed, they can click on "Save Changes" and then "Finish Integration."Now that the integration between Basecamp 3 and Zoho Desk has been established, users can go over to Zoho Desk and view all the projects or tasks they have connected to Basecamp 3. If users want to add more projects or tasks to Zoho Desk, they can simply go back to Basecamp 3 and connect additional tasks or projects.Users can also deactivate their connections at any time. To do so, they have to go to Integrations in Basecamp 3 and then click on "deactivate integration." They will then be asked if they want to deactivate their connection and respond by clicking on "Yes" or "No." In addition, users can unlink specific tasks or projects by going into Projects or Tasks in Basecamp 3 and selecting Unlink next to the item they wish to remove from Zoho Desk.If users prefer, they can add new tasks or projects directly from Zoho Desk rather than Basecamp 3. Users can go to their Projects tab in Zoho Desk and click on "+ New Project" or "+ New Task." From there, they can create a new project or task and give it a name.Users can also specify certain information about their project or task including its status, owner, assignees, due date, priority level, estimated hours, tags, categories, comments, resources, files attached, milestones, linked issues, budget estimate, budget remaining, equipment required, and estimated travel time.Once users have created their project or task in Zoho Desk, they will be able to edit it later on by going back into Zoho Desk and clicking on "+ New Task" or "+ New Project" again. However, if users want to modify information about their task or project that is located outside of its description box, such as its priority level or its category, they will need to modify it in Basecamp 3 first before going back over to Zoho Desk.When users are finished working on a project or task in Zoho Desk or have completed it already in Basecamp 3, they will be able to mark it complete in both applications. In order to do so in Zoho Desk, users simply have to hover over the project or task name and click on "Mark as Completed." They will then be taken to a page where they can confirm that they indeed want to mark their project or task as complete by clicking on "Mark Complete."Users can also remove a project or task from Zoho Desk by hovering over its name and clicking on "Delete." They will then be asked if they are sure that they want to delete the item by clicking on "Yes" or "No." If users click on "Yes," Zoho Desk will remove the item from its database. However, if users decide not delete it, they will have the option of deleting it later on by going back into Zoho Desk and hovering over the project or task name before clicking on "Delete."If users want to check what items are connected to Basecamp 3 for them in Zoho Desk, they can go over to Settings in Zoho Desk and then click on Integration Settings. On this page, users will be able to see which projects and tasks are connected to Basecamp 3. They will also be able to see what Basecamp 3 items are associated with them in Zoho Desk so that they know what work needs to be done next regardless of what device they are using at the time.Basecamp 3 integrates with other programs such as Salesforce, MailChimp, Google Hangouts, ZenDesk Helpdesk Software, Gmail, GitHub and Mailgun among others. In addition, it also has six apps available for download.
