In this article I am going to talk about the benefits of integrating Basecamp 3 and Clubhouse.
First off, what is Basecamp 3? Basecamp 3 is a project management software created by Jason Fried, one half of the founding team at Basecamp. The company is named after the original project management software, also called Basecamp. It was originally launched on April 28, 2014 as a paid version with a free trial period of 14 days. Now there are 2 versions available, a premium version for $99/month and a free version which is just called Basecamp. The free version has limited features but it is still usable for a small group of people. The premium version comes with a lot of extra features like unlimited projects, unlimited users and integrations with third-party software like Slack, Zapier and more. Basecamp 3 is based on Ruby on Rails and uses the framework Webpacker. The product managers use Mocha Chai BDD and RSpec for testing. It also uses HAML, Slim and Sass for templating. It uses Bootstrap as well. The default theme for Basecamp 3 was designed by Paul Airy and his design agency Airside. Basecamp 3 is written in CoffeeScript but can be switched to JavaScript if necessary. It uses Elastic Search for searching data. There are a lot of other features that make it really useful such as an integrated chat system, user profiles, task assignments and more. It can be used to manage groups as well instead of just companies or individuals.Basecamp3's homepageNext, what is Clubhouse? Clubhouse is an online project management software created by Fog Creek Software and launched on September 10, 2017. The company was founded in 2002 by Michael Pryor and Anil Dash. They originally made a software called Glitch.Clubhouse was created because the previous project management software they had was becoming too hard to maintain and not user-friendly enough for developers. The whole development team for Clubhouse had previously worked on Glitch so they were familiar with working with each other. This made it easier to make Clubhouse since they were already familiar with working together and could understand each other's style of coding. Clubhouse is based on React and Redux and uses Node.js, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Amazon S3 and Heroku for deployment. It uses Grunt for its build process and Bundler for dependency management. It uses Webpack for code bundling and Browserify to bundle its client-side code. Clubhouse also uses Webpack Dev Middleware to expand the functionality of Webpack while developing in-browser. Clubhouse uses Cloudinary for image uploading and transforming as well as video transcoding. It also uses Stripe for handling payments through subscriptions and has built-in support for PayPal as well. Their website says "The app was built by developers for developers." And it shows because the interface is very simple and easy to understand.Clubhouse's homepage
