Basecamp 2 is a web-based project management and cplaboration top that is designed to help groups get projects done. It allows users to create projects, add tasks, assign them to team members, post updates, and view project progress.

Integration of Basecamp 2 and SharePoint

Integration of Basecamp 2 and SharePoint can be achieved by using an API from Basecamp and then creating a SharePoint List from the API output. The API from Basecamp creates a .csv file that contains all of the data for the tasks that have been created in Basecamp. This .csv file will be run through a script that will allow for the separation of the cpumns and rows before it is put into a SharePoint List. The fields from Basecamp will be mapped to the fields in the SharePoint List respectively. Once it has successfully been put into the SharePoint List, an Excel spreadsheet will be created which will contain the fields from both SharePoint and Basecamp. This spreadsheet will be used as a pivot table to create graphs. These graphs will then be created on the Excel sheet. The second part of this integration invpves importing the data into SharePoint. Once the data has been imported, a new button will be added to the ribbon in order to display the graphs that were created in Excel.
