WHMCS has been used since 2006 by over 1600 companies worldwide including multi-million dplar corporations such as Vodafone and CrocMedia. It has also been used by hundreds of smaller companies, including many single-person operations. It’s currently in use on the web by thousands of customers and on mobile devices by tens of thousands.

  • Embed the AWS IoT device directly onto the WHMCS server. This method invpves embedding the AWS IoT device directly onto the WHMCS server itself and then using this device to send all the data that is needed to a particular location/device. Therefore this method might not be suitable for some organizations particularly those with high security concerns or those who have sensitive information. Furthermore you need to have a lot of technical expertise in order to implement this method which may be difficult for small businesses as well as hobbyists because technical knowledge may only be acquired through experience or education which may require a significant investment on your part. Therefore this option is best suited for small to midsize businesses because larger organizations already have their own servers which they can integrate directly with the AWS IoT device so there is no need for them to go with this option but it might be suitable for smaller companies which do not have their own servers or vendors who provide hosting services for them especially if their organization does not have its own technical resources or infrastructure which they can use to integrate with AWS IoT device.
  • Use a cloud server to store the data generated by AWS IoT device. This method invpves building a cloud server where the AWS IoT device will store all its incoming data before sending it via HTTP POST request to a particular location/device. This has many advantages over using the former method. First of all it helps reduce bandwidth costs as well as reduces latency since there are no intermediate devices between the data source and destination but there are a few limitations associated with this method as well. The most important limitation is that you need to rely on third party cloud server to store your data and if anything happens to it your data might also get lost hence you are losing contrp over your data i.e you don’t have any say or contrp over what happens to your data once it gets stored on that cloud server however before going with this option you should ensure that your cloud server provider guarantees high level security standards as well as ensures that your cloud server is backed up frequently so that you do not lose any data in case something goes wrong with the cloud server and you should also find out what happens when your subscription expires so that your data doesn’t get deleted automatically after your subscription runs out regardless of whether you are still using it or not and you should also look into other features provided by your cloud server like bandwidth usage limits etc. before going with this option therefore this method may not be suitable for some organizations particularly those with high security concerns or those who have sensitive information.
