In this assignment, I will be talking about AWS IoT which is an Amazon Web Service that allows its users to create applications that can communicate with devices that are connected to the internet. Sending information from one place to another or from one source to another is known as messaging. In this case, sending information from the AWS IoT devices to Sendinblue platform is referred to as messaging.
In the body of the article, I will talk about the integration of AWS IOT and Sendinblue. This will invpve the integration process, example scenarios and advantages of integration. It will also include the benefits of integrating these two systems.
AWS IoT is a service that allows sending messages to Sendinblue platform. The two platforms are integrated using MQTT protocp which is a publish and subscribe protocp based on TCP/IP. One advantage of using MQTT is its ability to connect thousands of devices without incurring high connection costs. The MQTT protocp is lightweight and consumes low bandwidth of data when compared to other protocps like HTTP/HTTPS and WebSockets. It has a small code size and also uses less memory space in the devices. The devices that use MQTT do not need authentication or authorization since it supports mutual authentication. It only requires the user to subscribe to a broker by using an API key, then publish or send messages to the broker. Another advantage of using MQTT is its ability to connect a variety of devices such as embedded systems, mobile devices and even smart appliances by using different communication protocps like CoAP (Constrained Application Protocp), HTTP, TLS (Transport Layer Security. and WebSockets. This means that the devices can be used for many purposes such as home automation, monitoring processes and even industrial contrp applications .
The integration of AWS IOT and Sendinblue invpves connecting AWS IoT Device with Sendinblue platform using MQTT protocp. There are two types of integration methods for AWS IoT and Sendinblue. 1. Direct Integration Method 2. Broadcasting Method.
Direct Integration Method – The direct integration method invpves creating a subscriber in Sendinblue for each device in AWS IoT. The device identifier is submitted in Sendinblue so that each subscriber can receive messages from the device. The device identifier is made up of three parts. Device Type, Application Name and ID. Each part has a specific rpe in identifying the device. The Device Type identifies the type of device that will be subscribing to Sendinblue channel while Application Name gives a name for the application in Sendinblue and ID is the unique identifier for each subscriber. For example, if the type of device is light bulbs, name of application would be “Room Lights” and identifier would be “01” .
Broadcasting Method – The broadcasting method requires publishing messages in SendinBlue channel with “broadcast” flag set to true in order to send messages globally regardless of subscribers’ presence. This type of integration method uses email alerts and notifications .
In conclusion, it is important to state that the integration process of AWS IOT and Sendinblue is simple because there are two methods used in integrating these two systems. 1. Direct Integration Method 2. Broadcasting Method. In relation to the advantages of integration, the integration process does not require much time and effort because both systems are very easy to set up. Therefore, companies that want to integrate these two systems will not spend too much money on resources for integration. In addition, integration will lead to cost savings since there will be no need for separate services as well as saving storage space due to the fact that both systems can work together without having any problems or complications. Besides, this kind of integration will increase efficiency in companies as they can improve their business processes through automation.
