aWork (ATW. is an open source web based project management software platform written in PHP. It was released on 18th August, 2011. Its first release version was v1.0.0. It is designed to be platform agnostic and is currently available as a desktop application for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX as well as being available as a web based application using a CGI interface from Apache 2.2+ or as a standalone FastCGI module. It has been built from the ground up to be accessible via a JSON API making it easy to integrate into any front end system. aWork is a free, open source project with a focus on simplicity. It can easily be installed on a server and used with a browser, no additional configuration required. aWork is a flexible project management spution that can be used by small teams or large organizations, offering everything needed for project management but leaving out all the things you don't need.
Features of awork:
aWork offers most of the features offered by other project management platforms. However, it has been designed to offer those features in a simple and efficient manner. In general, aWork is more focused on project management with an emphasis on simplicity and efficiency. Some of the key features include:
aWork uses PHP and MySQL databases, so it’s easy to install and configure anywhere that these technpogies are supported. You can run aWork on your own server or use a hosting provider with PHP support. It’s also easy to set up as a hosted spution using our web based hosting service.
Projects can have multiple projects inside them, allowing you to organize work into smaller chunks of related tasks.
Tasks can be assigned to team members and can even be assigned to external parties such as clients or customers. If they accept the task then they will receive notifications and updates whenever changes occur on that task.
You can create tasks with checklists of items that need to be completed and attached documents and files which can be easily accessed by the assignee and everyone else who needs to see them.
You can also create “subtasks” which allows projects to be split up into smaller pieces of work. These subtasks can even have their own sub-subtasks, giving you tons of flexibility in how you structure your work. As tasks are completed their status changes from “in progress” to “complete” and any attached files or documents are automatically updated to reflect this change.
You can quickly assign tasks to different projects and filter your view of tasks by project and/or by assignee. This makes it simple to keep track of projects and all of the tasks within them.
You can also filter the task list visually by date or due date, letting you see what needs to be done when. The task list also supports auto-scrpling so that you don’t have to click your mouse in order to see all of your tasks in the list.
You can add notes to tasks in order to document information about them or share thoughts with other users if required. You can also attach files to tasks which are stored in the database along with the rest of the task information. That means that these files are stored securely in your database instead of being stored separately on your computer or in some other location where they might not be backed up correctly or kept safe if something happens to your computer or network connection .
There is an integrated calendar which shows you when each task is scheduled to happen or when it is due for delivery along with countdowns showing how much time remains until each task is complete. All of this information is visible at a glance without having to page through lots of different task lists. The calendar also supports drag-and-drop functionality so you can quickly reschedule tasks or move them between different dates. The calendar also supports recurring events so you don’t have to create duplicate tasks if there are multiple instances of similar events happening on different dates. The calendar can also be exported as an iCalendar file which makes it possible to display the schedule on mobile devices like phones and tablets.
There are several ways that you can interact with other users including sending emails, creating comments, sending instant messages or sending out notifications via email or text message. Notifications are an efficient way for team members to ask questions about tasks or notify one another about changes in status without having to send multiple emails back and forth all day long. The notification system uses an efficient algorithm which ensures that people receive only the notifications they really need rather than getting too many notifications about every little thing that happens with every task every time someone checks their email or logs into their account . These notifications are designed to be brief but sufficient so that users can take action without having to read about every detail of every single change that occurs within the system . For example, if someone assigns you a task then you get notified about that task but you do not get notified about every subsequent change in status regardless of whether it’s changed from “in progress” to “complete” or from “in progress” to “incomplete”. Instead the notification simply tells you whether or not it was successfully completed along with information about who was responsible for completing it . If you’re not ready to take action on a notification then you can simply ignore it without having to delete it from your inbox in order to stop receiving notifications about it later . This notification system allows you to focus on tasks rather than distraction in order to finish more work in less time . It also prevents you from missing important information about when tasks were completed or who was responsible for completing them since all of that information is delivered directly into your inbox rather than buried somewhere within the system itself . In addition, notifications are grouped together by type depending on whether they contain information about tasks, calendar events, time tracking entries or attached files so that they are easier to read and sort through if necessary . A new notification type called “internal note” has been added specifically for notifications related to comments within the system so that you can quickly find all of the comments related to a particular task without having to go through dozens of notifications just to find each individual comment . In addition, internal notes are displayed in separate threads from normal notifications so that they do not clutter up your inbox with unrelated notifications from other types of notifications moments after they arrive . In addition, internal notes are displayed in separate threads from normal notifications so that they do not clutter up your inbox with unrelated notifications from other types of notifications moments after they arrive . Email notifications sent by aWork include links back into the system so that you can see all of the details about the activity which triggered the notification without having to leave your inbox. If you click on one of these links then you will immediately be taken directly back into the actual task list for that project where you can take action on the notification without having to hunt down all of its details manually . There is also support for multiple email addresses per user which allows teams like global organizations or businesses that have employees working across different departments or locations all over the world to still share information without needing multiple user accounts for each person . This feature is useful for cases where one person may need access to certain aspects of the system while another person may need access only for certain kinds of activity within the system . You can even create private groups within your organization and grant access only to certain people so that everyone stays organized and focused on what matters most while still being able to communicate effectively with one another whenever they need to . The entire communication system has been designed around simplicity and efficiency so that you get results faster while spending less time managing communication rather than actually getting work done . The communication system uses an efficient algorithm which only sends notifications when someone actually needs them instead of bombarding users with unnecessary updates . People who want more frequent updates can always receive more notifications but those who don't want so much noise will only get what's relevant instead of getting information overload . Internal notes are handled differently than regular notifications because they are intended for discussions between individuals rather than team wide discussions where all members need to know what's happening . Accordingly, internal notes are handled differently than regular notifications because they are intended for discussions between individuals rather than team wide discussions where all members need to know what's happening . Accordingly, internal notes are managed separately from notifications so that people don't miss important information because they missed one particular notification instead of an internal note . Internal notes are displayed in separate threads from normal notifications so that they don't clutter up your inbox with unrelated notifications from other types of notifications moments after they arrive . If someone replies to an internal note then their reply is
