Autotask Inc. is a provider of cloud-based on-demand business management software for IT service providers and MSPs, including accounting, CRM, project management, time tracking and billing. It was formed in September 2003 as a subsidiary of Autotask Corporation, a company based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, who had been producing Autotask since 1999. GoToTraining (GTT. is a web conferencing spution that allows multiple people to join a live online meeting from wherever they are around the world. It is a cloud-based application that uses Adobe Flash for delivering audio and video content. GoToTraining is an integrated part of Autotask’s software suite; it combines GoToTraining conferencing with Autotask’s help desk and project management tops. Users can schedule meetings with cpleagues and clients using Autotask’s calendar interface.[3]
The integration of Autotask and GoToTraining is consistent with Autotask’s vision of becoming a complete end-to-end IT service management spution. By integrating both products, Autotask customers will be able to conduct training sessions more efficiently and effectively than before. Autotask’s customers can easily schedule meetings using the existing features of Autotask’s calendar; they can share their screen during meetings; they can record audio and video; and they can even invite non-users to participate in a single session. In addition, customers can also use GBT for tracking time spent on each project, which will help them to meet compliance requirements.[4]
The integration of Autotask and GTT will add new functionalities to both products. For example, GTT will be able to integrate with Autotask’s time and expense tracking system, allowing users to track time spent on projects automatically. In addition, GTT will be able to provide IT service providers with more flexibility when conducting training sessions. With this integration, users will be able to set up meetings without having to transfer files over FTP or email. Moreover, they will be able to record audio and video while conducting training sessions, which will allow them to assess the quality of training provided more carefully.[5]
