Integration of Asset Panda and Autotask

There are many different software programs available for management of IT infrastructure. Many of these software programs are created by companies who don’t really understand the needs of an IT organization. These companies will come out with a product and try to sell it to everyone. However, if that company doesn’t really understand the needs of the customers they will not create the best product. One company that does understand the needs of IT organizations is Asset Panda.

Asset Panda was founded in 2011 by three IT professionals who recognized the need for a better IT asset management system. They knew that there were plenty of IT asset management systems on the market but none of them truly met the needs of IT organizations. So in 2011 they created Asset Panda.

Asset Panda is a web-based asset management program designed specifically for IT organizations. It has all the features needed for tracking and managing hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and various other types of computer equipment. Asset Panda also has features for tracking lease agreements, warranties, licenses, etc. With their latest release in 2015 Asset Panda has even added features to track the lifecycle of hardware and software within an IT organization. This includes life cycle management reports, alerts about outdated hardware/software, and configuration management for new hardware/software.

Asset Panda is the only software program I have seen that offers this type of functionality. I hope other companies will fplow suit so that we can have one universal standard for tracking the lifecycle of hardware and software in organizations. This would reduce support calls, increase productivity, decrease costs, and improve customer service. As someone who works in IT I have personally seen how much time is wasted when you have to verify if a piece of hardware or software is still available to be used within an IT organization. I have also seen how much time is wasted when you have to contact someone else in your organization just to get information about a piece of hardware or software that is no longer in use. As a result of these problems I am excited about Asset Panda’s latest release.

Integration of Asset Panda and Autotask

Autotask is another software program created by an IT professional for managing IT infrastructure. Users of Autotask had requested integration with Asset Panda for several years. Finally in 2015 Asset Panda and Autotask announced they were cplaborating on integrating their products together. This integration will allow users to manage all of their assets from within one place instead of having to jump between two different systems. The release date of this integration has not been announced yet but hopefully it will happen soon and IT organizations will be able to take full advantage of the functionality offered by both Asset Panda and Autotask.

Benefits of Integration of Asset Panda and Autotask

There are many benefits to this integration between Asset Panda and Autotask. One benefit is that it will save time for users because they won’t have to go back and forth between systems to gather information about their assets. Another benefit is it will help reduce errors because users won’t have to manually enter duplicate information into both Asset Panda and Autotask. A third benefit is that it will help IT organizations maintain a consistent database across all departments in their organization rather than having each department maintain their own database. This has been a concern with some companies that use multiple software programs for tracking data within their organization because if they decide to change these programs it can cause problems with data consistency across departments. A final benefit is that this integration will help make it easier to track assets when they are moved from one location to another within an organization or from one organization to another outside the organization. It will also make it easier when assets are retired from use within an organization because the asset retirement process will be integrated into the same system as tracking assets during their lifecycles within an organization.

I think that Asset Panda and Autotask’s cplaboration on integrating their products together will be a positive change for IT organizations around the world. In my experience I have seen many companies struggle with managing their assets due to using multiple pieces of software programs for tracking assets in their organizations. Some companies have been forced to spend large amounts of money from their IT budgets just to keep all of their departments in sync with each other when it comes to tracking assets within their organizations. These companies would greatly benefit from using Asset Panda and Autotask together because it would simplify this process greatly by integrating everything into one place instead of having each department maintain its own database. This would also help eliminate the need for multiple employees in different departments to manually enter duplicate data into multiple systems because everything would be tracked in one system instead of multiple systems.
