WooCommerce?

WooCommerce is a popular eCommerce plugin for WordPress that has over 4 million downloads. Integrating WooCommerce and Appy Pie Chatbot together will enable you to create a fully functioning bot for your store. This will allow your customers to interact with your store through a conversational interface.

Integration of Appy Pie Chatbot and WooCommerce

To integrate Appy Pie Chatbot and WooCommerce, here are some steps you can take:

  • First, go to the Appy Pie Dashboard and click on "Install Apps" in the top left corner of the screen. This will bring up the App Store page where you can choose your desired apps. Then, select "WooCommerce" from the list of applications and click on "Install".
  • Once installed, you can now set up the connection between Appy Pie Chatbot and WooCommerce. To do this, select the "Setup" tab under "Integrations" located in the bottom right corner of the page. Here, you will see a list of available integrations that are compatible with your store such as Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter and more. Next to "WooCommerce", select "Add Configuration".
  • This will open a new window where you can add in all the necessary information about your WooCommerce store. First, enter the URL of your website into the text box provided. Then, provide an email address under "Email Address" so we could send you notifications about your app or store. Next, select a team from the drop-down menu if there are multiple users working on the same account. Finally, enter your store's name into the text box provided and click on "Save".
  • Now that you have enabled integration between Appy Pie Chatbot and WooCommerce, it’s time to start building your chatbot! To do this, select the "Build" tab located in the bottom right corner of the page, then click on “Start Building” on the Dashboard page. Next, click on the "Open Editor" button which will bring you to the app editor interface. Click on "Add a new feature", then choose "Chatbot" from the drop-down list. You will now see a blank canvas where you can add different types of content from buttons to GIFs to videos and more. For this demo however, we will only be adding text messages to our chatbot. To do this, click on “Blank” then type in “Hi” into the text box provided. Once you have finished writing your message, click on “Save” at the top right corner of the screen. At this point, you should see a chat icon appear on the left side of your screen. If you click on it, you should see your message appear in blue letters inside a chat bubble.
  • With that done, let’s add some functionality to our chatbot! To do this, we will need to create a conversation flow chart for our chatbot by clicking on “Conversation Flow” on the left side of the screen. Next, click on “Create New Step” > “Next Question” under “Conversation Flow” > “Next Question” > “Next Action” > “Send Message” > “Text Message”. This will open up a text box where you can write whatever content you want your chatbot to say in response to specific questions. For example, let’s say when someone asks where your store is located, we want our chatbot to respond by telling them our address instead of just saying “we are located at xyz address” over and over again as they type in different addresses over and over again. Therefore we will type in “We are located at 888 Main Street San Francisco CA 94205." Clicking on “Save” at the top right corner of the screen will save your work!
  • Now that we have created our conversation flow chart for our chatbot, it is now time to create a conversation for our chatbot by clicking on “Conversations” on the left side of the screen. Next, click on “Create New Conversation” > “Next Question” under “Conversation Flow” > “Next Question” > “Next Action” > “Send Message” > “Text Message” (make sure you choose the same text message from step 5. Click on “Save” at the top right corner of the screen when done! You are now ready to launch your bot! To do this, click on “Launch App” found at the top left corner of the screen and fplow the instructions as shown in the image below:
  • Now that your chatbot is launched, it is ready for use! All you have left to do now is connect your Facebook Messenger Page (Business Account. to your Facebook Page (Personal Account. so that when someone messages or tags your Facebook Page in a post asking for help; instead of seeing an error message like in the picture below; they would instead be sent straight to your chatbot where they could receive help! To do this simply fplow these steps:

  • Go to https://www.facebook.com/business/help/community/messenger_integration_options/
  • Click on "Turn On Messenger" at the bottom of the page
  • Select "I want my Messenger contacts to be able to message me with Messenger" from the drop-down menu under "Messenger Integration Options" then click on "Continue"
  • Select "My personal account is already connected with Messenger" from the drop-down menu under "Facebook Page Integration Options" then click on "Continue" and fplow all further instructions until complete!
