    What is Appy Pie?

From students to entrepreneurs, from small business owners to large corporations, Appy Pie works for everyone.Appy Pie is a platform where you create your own app with your choice of design, add all the necessary features, publish it on Google Play Store or App Store and then you get paid for it.

    What is Paypal?

Paypal is an online payment system that allows users to send and receive money online through their accounts or using the Paypal buttons that can be embedded on any website or blog.It also allows users to receive payments via credit/debit card, bank transfer or cheque.

Integration of Appy Pie and Paypal

For every app you create on Appy Pie, you can integrate Paypal into it. This makes it easier for users to pay for your application and earn revenue from it. Here is how you can do it:

  • First of all, you need to log in to your Paypal account.
  • Once you are logged in, you can go to Merchant Services > Add and configure a new service > Manage next to Payment Methods > Click 'Add New'.

3. Enter the following details:· Name. Name that will appear on your customers' credit card statements. You can use your business name here, but keep in mind that Paypal will charge you extra if someone else has already registered that name as a payment method.· Description. A short description of what this payment method is for. Only visible to you.· Billing address – This will be the address that shows up on your customers' credit card statement after the purchase. Please make sure that this address is valid as Paypal will send a verification email to this address to verify its authenticity.Once you put in these details, Paypal will send a confirmation email to the email address you provided in your Paypal settings. To activate your payment method, click the link in the confirmation email. After this, you can enter the following details in your Appy Pie dashboard:· First name. The first name of the person who will be paid. This will be displayed on Google Play Store and App Store when a user makes a purchase from your application.· Last name. The last name of the person who will be paid. This will be displayed on Google Play Store and App Store when a user makes a purchase from your application.· Email Address. The email address of the person who will be paid. This will be displayed on Google Play Store and App Store when a user makes a purchase from your application.· Amount. The amount that will be paid to the person who created the app through Appy Pie . This amount doesn't include Paypal's transaction fee which usually is around 2% depending on the volume of transactions in a month.   Paypal transaction fee should not be more than $0.99 (for example. if you set the price of your application for $1, Paypal transaction fee won't be more than $0.99.   Also, this amount needs to be paid by the user through their credit/debit card or bank transfer with no option for them to pay using their PayPal balance because they have to pay Paypal transaction fee as well which would mean that the final amount would not cover your expenses plus income that you would get from the application sale, so be aware of this and consider lowering the price of your applications accordingly!   If you want users to pay directly via their PayPal balance, give them the option and let them know about it; otherwise, they will have to pay additional transaction fee!   Also, if you want users to pay using their PayPal balance directly, but are not willing to lower your prices accordingly (because you don't want them to think that they are getting a deal or something), then make sure that you have an information page somewhere on your website informing them that they will have to pay PayPal transaction fee and let them know how much it is!   I am sure they will understand!   Of course, if you have an option where they can pay using their PayPal balance without paying any transaction fee then this is definitely better because then they won't even notice it!   But please remember that the best option is to let them pay using their credit/debit card or bank transfer because this way you get 100% of the money minus only that 2% transaction fee!   Hope this makes sense! :)4. After setting all these details up, ask your customer to go back to your application and enter his/her PayPal email address in the PayPal email address field (this is where his/her money will be sent once he/she makes a purchase)!   Then he/she can purchase your application using his/her PayPal account!   He/she will see his/her money deducted from his/her account right away!   That's it!   You will receive payment notification emails either from Google Play Store or App Store or from Paypal itself depending on where you integrated Paypal!   For example, if you integrated Paypal into an application that was uploaded to Google Play Store , then you will receive notification emails from Google Play Store saying that your application was sold and giving you all the details like how much was charged, etc. ; if you integrated Paypal into an application uploaded to App Store , then you will receive notification emails from App Store saying that your application was sold; if you integrated Paypal into an application that was uploaded both to App Store and Google Play Store , then you will receive notifications from both stores (one email from each store)!   When this happens, simply go back into your Appy Pie dashboard and click 'Upload new version' which is located under 'Build' section; then click 'Publish' which is located under 'Paid Version' section; now click 'Save Changes'; after this, go back into your app's Google Play Store listing or App Store listing and opt-in for 'In-app billing' and there will be a new button available next to 'Buy Now' button which says 'Buy with PayPal'; now click this button and your customer will see a new screen asking what they want to do with the information they entered previously!  Once they click 'Pay' button, money will be sent straight into your PayPal account!   If they try to install your app using 'Install' button before paying with PayPal, then they will see a message telling them that they need to buy this app before installing it (in case they didn't opt-in for in-app billing before)!   Once they install it using 'Install' button first and then buy it using 'Buy With PayPal' button later after entering their PayPal email address into the field as explained above, then they will not see this message anymore!   They will immediately see a screen telling them how much was charged from their account!   That's it!   You will get notification emails either from Google Play Store or App Store or from Paypal itself depending on where you integrated Paypal!   For example, if you integrated Paypal into an application that was uploaded to Google Play Store , then you will receive notification emails from Google Play Store saying that your application was sold and giving you all the details like how much was charged, etc. ; if you integrated Paypal into an application uploaded to App Store , then you will receive notification emails from App Store saying that your application was sold; if you integrated Paypal into an application that was uploaded both to App Store and Google Play Store , then you
