WordPress Quiz Maker is a free WordPress plugin that can be used to create quizzes for your website. It has the ability to integrate with any WordPress website.
Apptivo offers a quiz builder that enables users to create quizzes by using questions from the integrations they have integrated with Apptivo. I have already explained about integration in my previous blog post titled “Getting Started with Apptivo Integration.” So I will not be discussing about it in this blog post.
Once you have created an integration, you can start creating quizzes by using the questions from that integration. For example, if you have already built an integration between Google docs and Apptivo, then you can create quizzes using questions from Google docs. Here are the steps you need to fplow while creating a quiz using Google docs.
Step 1. Go to Apptivo > Build > Quiz Builder > Start New Quiz.
Step 2. Select the option Create Quiz Using Online Forms or Data Sources.
Step 3. Choose Google Docs as your Data Source.
Step 4. Select the integration you want to use for this quiz. In this case, I have selected Google Drive spreadsheets integration because I want to use questions from Google Sheets in this quiz.
Step 5. Click on Next. Now you will see a list of questions from all the sheets available in your Google Spreadsheets. Select the ones that you want to use in your quiz by checking the checkbox next to them and then click on Next. You can also select Create new sheet and specify the location and name of the new sheet and then build a new sheet and use it for your quiz. It is recommended that you choose existing sheets rather than creating new sheets for building quizzes. This will avoid confusion as there might be some other user who might be working on those sheets as well as quiz building simultaneously with you. Also, Google sheets contains some basic information such as Title, Description, Question, Answer and Score; but if you choose existing sheets, you must make sure that you enter those values before selecting those questions for your quiz because these values will not be updated accordingly if you create a new sheet later on after selecting those questions for your quiz.
Step 6. You will now see all the questions from the sheet(s. that you selected in step 5. Select all of them by checking the checkbox next to each question and then click on Next. If you do not want to select all the questions from a sheet, then uncheck the checkbox next to each question and then click on Next. At this stage you will see a summary of all the questions selected so far and you can edit their names per your requirement. Finally click on Next to proceed further with building your quiz. A new page will open where you can configure the settings of your quiz as per your requirement.
Step 7. You will see two options i.e., Number of Questions and Time Limit that determines how many questions will be asked to the participants along with the time limit for answering those questions. In this case, I have set Number of Questions as unlimited as I do not want to limit the number of questions as well as I have also left Time Limit as 30 minutes as I want participants to answer those questions within 30 minutes. Once done, click on Save changes at the bottom right corner of the screen and you will be redirected to your quiz where you can start adding hints to help participants answer those questions.
You can add hints by clicking on Add Hint icon near each question that needs a hint. After adding hints, click on Save Changes at the bottom right corner of the screen and then click on View Results at the top left corner of the screen. In the results page, you can view all the answers along with their score and feedback from participants who had answered those questions. You can also download reports from this page which includes answers of each participant along with their score and feedback from participants who have done that quiz. The report will contain answers along with total attempts, attempts completed, attempts failed, percentage attempted correctly, percentage attempted incorrectly, percentage passed, percentage failed and question type (Multiple Choice or Single Choice. The report will also contain feedback along with their score (1-5 scale. along with their comments (if provided by them. You can use these reports to analyze answers provided by participants and improve your business process efficiency through automation using Apptivo’s built-in automation features like Automated Email Templates, Email Campaigns, Webhooks Integration etc., which I will discuss about in my future blog posts (soon. It is important to note here that these reports can be accessed only by admins or quiz owners who created them initially for security purposes so ensure that only authorized personnel have access to these reports otherwise they might misuse them thus it is recommended to use systems like Rpe Based Access Contrp (RBAC. to prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing these reports or connections created by them through Apptivo’s API/SDKs.
