In this blog post, I will write about integrating Amazon SQS with Stripe to create a simple application.
A queue is a temporary holding place for data while it is being transferred between applications or services. For example, you can use an Amazon SQS queue to hold the e-mails you receive from an application until they are processed by another application. You can also use queues to distribute work among multiple computers, to move data between applications that don't share a common communications protocol, or to handle a burst of activity caused by user traffic. 
Stripe is a developer platform that powers commerce for businesses of all sizes. It allows users to integrate different payment processing methods into their own applications. The Stripe API provides communication between internet-connected software and the Stripe servers. 
To integrate Amazon SQS with Stripe, you first need to build an application that integrates Stripe with Amazon SQS. This application will be used initially for testing and then after for production.Stripe provides tutorials on how to integrate Stripe with other systems such as Authorize.net and PayPal.  You can use the same process to integrate Stripe with Amazon SQS. You just have to modify the code for both the AWS SDK and Stripe.The code in the samples below is based on the Stripe tutorial on Paying with a card. I've modified the code to include some additional information about the state of the integration and how many messages are currently stored in the queue. It also includes some code to allow users to send more than one request at a time.
Using AWS SQS and Stripe together allows you to accept payments easily without having to worry about building your own payment processing system. Instead, you can just focus on actually providing your service and leave the payment processing details up to your users when they are ready to pay for them.
