Integration of Amazon SQS and CloudTalk

CloudTalk is a cloud telephony offering that enables enterprises to take advantage of the public cloud to rapidly deploy, scale, and manage their business communications. CloudTalk also offers its enterprise customers with a choice of SIP Trunking, Private Branch Exchange (PBX), and Hosted VoIP services. Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS. is a highly scalable cloud messaging service for reliably communicating between distributed application components and microservices. It allows applications to push messages at any time to be processed by other applications. When an application deletes a message it is automatically removed from all queues that are receiving messages from that queue. Here, we can see how Amazon SQS enables real-time microservices integration.

For CloudTalk, Amazon SQS can be used as an enabler for integrating its cloud telephony offering with other SaaS offerings, such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc. CloudTalk can use Amazon SQS to provide high availability for its voice infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted telephony services should the loss of data center occur. CloudTalk’s telephony platform can also use Amazon SQS to receive notification about new phone numbers added to Salesforce or about existing phone numbers being deprecated. This integration would enable CloudTalk to automatically provision new phone numbers in its telephony platform to match the number of Salesforce users.

For AWS, Amazon SQS can be used as an enabler for integrating its public cloud offering with other SaaS offerings, such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc. AWS can use Amazon SQS to notify Salesforce when a new user creates an AWS account so Salesforce can add the user to one of the pre-configured contacts lists in Salesforce. This integration can enable Salesforce to reach out to these new AWS customers and help them configure their AWS accounts and start using them immediately.
